How to make yarn and use it in Tribes of Midgard

Yarn is very useful, didn't you know?

To get yarn in Tribes of Midgard, you must kill animals such as wolves for fur and turn it into yarn via the Tinker NPC, crafting yarn from fur will cost four fur per yarn. Luckily getting fur is not hard if you build the farm worksite and kill wolves whenever they spawn on roads.

The best way to farm fur in Tribes of Midgard is to wander the various roads in the game. Wandering roads will eventually cause wolves to spawn, and killing wolves will grant you decent amounts of fur. You can also farm fur from Foxes and Rabbits that spawn within the Blight Forest in Tribes of Midgard

How to use yarn in Tribes of Midgard

To use yarn in Tribes of Midgard, you must turn it into spun yarn via the Tinker Village crafting station. In short, you will need spun yarn to make various late-game armors. You can make spun yarn via the Tinker station with five yarn and four yarn for one spun yarn.

However, if you want to craft yarn in Survival mode, you must craft a Lumbering Stand. After crafting a Lumbering Stand, upgrade it to level two and then craft a Tanning Stand with eight wood and four fur inside the Lumbering Stand. When you finish making the Tanning Stand, place it down via the build menu, and you can craft yarn inside of it for six fur.

Other methods for getting spun yarn in Tribes of Midgard

If you don't want to craft spun yarn from regular yarn, you can simply loot it from certain enemies in Tribes of Midgard. Both Unfrozen and Unsunken enemies will drop spun yarn upon death. We highly recommend farming both enemy types, as you can also get other resources you need in the areas where both monsters spawn.

Where to find Unfrozen and Unsunken enemies in Tribes of Midgard

If you want to find either unsunken or unfrozen enemies, you will need to search Ash Beach for unsunken enemies and the Glacier Peaks for unfrozen enemies.
