Value has just revealed and launched the new version of their staple VR headset, the Vive Pro 2. This new headset is set to bring a whole host of new improvements to resolution, the field of view, and more.
To start, the most notable of these changes is that of the resolution, whereas it now supports 5k or ( 2448 × 2448). The field of view is also now 120 degrees, and the refresh rate has been increased 120Hz, a substantial improvement upon the predecessor's 90hz.
Along with this, the new Pro 2 also supports Display Stream Compression, and that the screendoor effect that was present in most older headsets has been elemented.
The Vive Pro 2 will also feature integrated headphones that can be removed with Hi-Res Audio Certified and 3D spatial sound, in addition to supporting all Steam VR accessories. These also include the Vive trackers, SteamVR controllers, and more. That being said, here's the complete list of specs below.

Vive Pro 2 System Requirements
According to the developer website, the Minimum Vive Pro 2 system requirements are the following.
- Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 1500 equivalent or better
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 480 equivalent or better. You will also need either an RTX 20 or AMD AMD Radeon 5000 or newer for Full Resolution mode.
- 8 GB RAM or more
- DisplayPort 1.2 or higher, and 1,4 will be required for Full Resolution mode.
- One USB 3.0 port
- Windows 10
How much will the Vive Pro 2 cost?
The Vive Pro 2 will cost $799 for just the headset, and the version with all of the accessories will cost $1,399. That being said, you can find the Vive Pro 2 over at the official website as of today.
