The Mage Tower has come to World of Warcraft Dragonflight, and solo players looking for some more difficult to clear will find this right up their alley. With class-specific armor sets up for grabs, players must dust off their alt characters and get them up to level 70 to unlock everything and complete every challenge.
What are the Mage Tower challenges in World of Warcraft?
The Mage Tower challenges vary by character spec. Tanks, DPS, and healers will all have different challenges, so players must have multiple characters to complete everything. In total, there are seven challenges to complete, and it changes depending on what spec is being played.
Closing the Eye
The Closing the Eye challenge is available for Arms Warrior, Frost Death Knight, Havoc Demon Hunter, Survival Hunter, and Subtlety Rogue. To start the challenge, players must talk to War Councilor Victoria outside of the tower while in one of these specs to get started.
An Impossible Foe
The An Impossible Foe challenge will be for Elemental Shaman, Feral Druid, Fury Warrior, Fire Mage, Outlaw Rogue, and Unholy Death Knight. Like Closing the Eye, players will have to talk to Victoria while in one of the listed specs and enter the tower.
The God-Queen's Fury
The God-Queen's Fury challenge is available for Arcane Mage, Assassination Rogue, Demonology Warlock, Enhancement Shaman, and Retribution Paladin. Like the others, players just need to make sure they are one of these specs and can complete this challenge.
Feltotem's Fall
This challenge is available for Beast Mastery Hunter, Destruction Warlock, Discipline Priest, and Windwalker Monk. Just hop into one of these specs and talk to Victoria to begin the Feltotem's Fall challenge.
The Highlord's Return
The Highlord's Return challenge is available for Blood Death Knight, Brewmaster Monk, Guardian Druid, Protection Paladin, Protection Warrior, and Vengeance Demon Hunter. This is a challenge for the tanks out there, so just make sure one of those specs is active before talking to Victoria.
End of the Risen Threat
The End of the Risen Threat challenge is for Holy Priest, Holy Paladin, Restoration Druid, and Restoration Shaman. This is the healer portion of the challenges, so change into one of these specs and get started.
Thwarting the Twins
Closing out the Mage Tower challenges is the Thwarting the Twins challenge. This final one is available for Affliction Warlock, Balance Druid, Frost Mage, Marksmanship Hunter, and Shadow Priest.
What are the Mage Tower rewards in Dragonflight?
Completing these challenges will unlock a transmog set for the specific class it was completed on. For example, finishing the Feltotem's Fall challenge using a Windwalker Monk will unlock a set for that class. This can become very time-consuming, but players who like collecting new armor looks will find it all worthwhile.
Guardian Druids get a bonus as completing The Highlord's Return will unlock the Fel Werebear form. Druids shapeshift while tanking, so getting a new look for their bear form is a nice bonus since players don't get to see their specific armor set often.
Do Evokers get Mage Tower rewards in World of Warcraft?
Since this is a piece of content from the Legion expansion, there's nothing available yet for Evokers, the new class introduced in Dragonflight. This could change later, but as of the 10.0.5 patch that added the Mage Tower into Dragonflight, there is no reward for Devastation and Preservation Evokers.
