Best WoW SoD Phase 2 gold farm method

Since the beginning of Phase 2, Blizzard has banned GDKPs, making gold farming more challenging. If you don't want your account banned, you should also avoid buying gold. So what is the best way of making gold in World of Warcraft: Season of Discovery in Phase 2?

While this is subject to change as the economy grows over the course of Phase 2, the current best time investment for gold farming is to pick up Goldthorn with herbalism. There are tons of alchemy recipes that require this plant, so it can get pretty pricey to purchase them in any quantity. These require Herbalism 170, and they can be picked up in bulk along with other pricier herbs in the Arathi Highlands. You can also head to the Classic Zone Stranglethorn, but you will see more competition and will come across a lot of mobs.

For anyone with mining, a great option for farming some gold is to pick up mithril ore and mithril bars. It's best to check the AH to see which is going for more gold at the moment. The best farming locations are the Hinterlands and Tanaris.

Don't have herbalism or mining? One of the best things to farm and sell that doesn't require a profession is Mageweave cloth. SoD players are going to need this stuff for tailoring for a while, so you can work to pick up a whole slew of the stuff in the starred area above from the ogres there.
