Putting on the ritz.

Any diehard gamer knows that the fashion game is the true endgame. This holds equally true in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, as keeping your characters looking fresh is just as important as leveling their stats. Here's when you can you start to vogue with your characters in XC3.

Changing Clothes in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Changing your characters' outfits and clothing doesn't happen until players reach Chapter 3 and finish Ethel's Hero Quest. Once this is complete, changing clothing is a breeze:

  • Press X to open the main menu and select Character
  • Select Clothing from the Character menu
  • Choose the clothing you would like

Make sure to also use L and R to cycle through your party and customize their appearance as well. Note that any character can wear any piece of clothing, so long as it has already been unlocked.

How to unlock additional outfits in XC3

There are three ways to unlock additional outfits in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The first is to play the story. As you make your way through the various quests, you'll unlock plenty of new clothing choices and options. The second is to level up your character's class. Upon reaching Rank 10 in a class, you'll unlock a special clothing option for that class. The final way to acquire additional clothing options in XC3 is by purchasing the expansion pass, which offers new colors for the base outfits.
