Battlefield 2042 is DICE's latest entry in the Battlefield series and ups the extreme with dynamically changing battlegrounds. It is set to release on November 19, 2021, and Battlefield fans may be wondering if the game will be coming to Gamepass at launch or at all.
The answer is yes and no. Battlefield 2042 will be coming to Gamepass and EA Play but only as a 10-hour limited trial. Subscribers can enjoy this early, starting November 12, a week before the official launch day. But after that, Battlefield 2042 will disappear from the subscription service.

A majority of EA's games are available through Gamepass so it makes sense for fans to expect the same to be true of Battlefield 2042. However, this is not the case—at least not at launch. It may come to Gamepass in the future but this is speculation based on their previous titles with no official statements being made.
Regardless, subscribers to Gamepass can play up to ten hours of Battlefield 2042 and experience it firsthand before deciding to purchase it. This is a great way to see what changes were made from the beta and how the latest entry compares to previous Battlefield games.
