Do Seekers have a Weakness in Valheim? – Enemy Weakness Guide

Seek a way to kill them no longer!

Within the thick Mist that shrouds the Mistlands lurks enemies called Seekers that all serve a Seeker Queen in Valheim. Seekers hit fast and hard, not leaving a second to think about what they could be weak to in Valheim. Luckily, Seekers have a weakness, and players can exploit it to explore the Mistlands without dying.

What damage types are Seekers weak to in Valheim?

Seekers are primarily weak to Frost, Pierce, Fire, Poison, and Lighting damage, so one of the best ways to beat Seekers is to use a bow combined with elemental arrows. Here's more information listed below regarding Seekers in Valheim:

  • Where to find Seekers - If you want to hunt Seekers for one of their resource drops, you can find Seekers roaming around or infesting the Infested Mine locations in the Mistlands biome.
  • What do Seekers drop? - Seekers drop resources like Carapace and Seeker Meat. Other items some Seeker enemies drop include Mandibles and Royal Jelly. Mandibles will drop from the Solider Seekers, while Royal Jelly drops from Brood Seekers.
  • All Seeker enemy types - There are four Seekers variations in Valheim that include the following:
    • Soldier Seekers
    • Flying Seekers
    • Brood Seekers
    • The Queen

Best ways to beat Seekers in Valheim

If you are having trouble beating Seekers, the best method is to use their elemental weakness to your advantage. One way to do this is to have a bow like the Draugr bow and combine it with arrows such as Frost, Fire, or a high-level equivalent. With a bow equipped, you need to fire into seekers and keep circling them to avoid getting surrounded.

Eventually, you will encounter groups, and bows are not great for fighting them. Luckily, weapons such as the Himmin afl deal high Lighting damage combined with high Pierce and Knockback. We recommend making this weapon using 10 Yggdrasil Wood, 15 Refined Eitr, five Silver, and two Mandibles, as it is one of the best weapons to use against groups.

Another way to best Seekers is to use one of the many new Eitr magic staffs, such as the Ember or Frost Staffs. Check the list below for the best weapons against Seekers in Valheim.

Best weapons for fighting Seekers in Valheim list

  • Himmin afl
  • Frostner
  • Porcupine
  • Staff of Embers
  • Jotun bane
  • Staff of Frost
  • Mistwalker
  • Draugr Fang
