Where to find all 16 House Tokens in Hogwarts Legacy

Once you start the side quest for Nellie, you will embark on a mission to find all the Daedalian keys and, in turn, locate all 16 House Tokens in Hogwarts Legacy used to open your House Chest. You can claim your special reward once you have all of them. They are all spread around the castle in various locations, so we put together a guide to help you find them more easily.

Prerequisites Before Starting

Before you begin collecting House Tokens, ensure you have:

• Complete Nellie's initial quest - This unlocks the House Token collection mechanic
• Progress through the main story - Some areas require story advancement to access
• Unlock relevant Floo Flame locations - Many tokens require fast travel to specific points
• Learn Alohomora spell - Required for locked doors and cabinets
  • Level 1 Alohomora: Basic locks (learned early in the game)
  • Level 2 Alohomora: Intermediate locks (requires finding more Demiguise Statues)
  • Level 3 Alohomora: Advanced locks (requires completing Demiguise collection)
• Learn Revelio spell - Essential for highlighting hidden cabinets and keys

All 16 House Tokens Locations in Hogwarts Legacy

The House Tokens are all locked away in House Cabinets spread around the castle. You'll need to locate the Daedalian keys in order to unlock them. Ensure you listen for a playful fluttering noise prompt as you venture around. The keys will lead you directly to the cabinets when you spot them, and you can use Revelio to help you spot the cabinets as well. Here's where you can find them all:

Astronomy Wing House Token Locations (2 Tokens)

Token 1: Astronomy Tower

• Floo Point: Astronomy Tower
• Cabinet Location: Enter the classroom immediately to your left after fast traveling. The cabinet is located in the far-left corner, behind several desks.
• Key Location: Exit the classroom and continue up the spiral staircase to the upper levels of the tower. The key hovers near the large telescope area.
• Landmarks: Look for the ornate telescope and constellation charts on the walls.

Token 2: Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom

• Floo Point: Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom
• Cabinet Location: Turn right after fast traveling and walk straight until you reach the stone railing overlooking the courtyard. The cabinet is against the wall beside the railing.
• Key Location: Return toward the Floo point and descend the stairs toward the large rhino skeleton display in the lower area.
• Landmarks: The massive rhino skeleton is unmistakable - the key hovers near its base.

The Great Hall House Tokens (2 Tokens)

Token 3: Great Hall

• Floo Point: Great Hall
• Cabinet Location: Enter through the wooden doors into the main dining hall. Walk left toward the large stone fireplace. The cabinet is on elevated steps in the back-right corner near the teachers' area.
• Key Location: The key is floating near the fireplace where you first entered.
• Landmarks: Look for the four house banners hanging from the ceiling and the massive fireplace.

Token 4: Entrance Hall

• Floo Point: Great Hall
• Cabinet Location: Exit the Great Hall through both sets of wooden doors to reach the main castle entrance. The cabinet is in the right corner of the entrance hall, near the moving staircases.
• Key Location: The key is located directly outside the second set of doors, on the stone overhang above.
• Landmarks: The grand entrance with its towering ceilings and the base of the moving staircases.

Grand Staircase House Tokens (2 Tokens)

Token 5: Grand Staircase

• Floo Point: Grand Staircase
• Cabinet Location: Turn right immediately after fast traveling and ascend the stairs toward the Great Hall. Continue up another flight to the right. The cabinet sits just before the moving staircases begin.
• Key Location: Continue climbing the central spiral staircase until you reach a dead end near a painting featuring a mole-like creature.
• Landmarks: The distinctive animal painting and the junction where the moving staircases connect.

Token 6: Quad Courtyard

• Floo Point: Quad Courtyard
• Cabinet Location: From the Floo point, turn right and ascend the stairs past the serpent fountain. Go up three flights of stairs, then turn left. Follow the key back down to the serpent fountain, but turn left past a carved mermaid relief toward a side door. The cabinet is to the right of this door.
• Key Location: At the top of the third flight of stairs, turn left - the key waits here.
• Landmarks: The ornate serpent fountain and the detailed mermaid carving are key reference points.

Bell Tower Wing House Tokens (3 Tokens)

Token 7: Bell Tower Courtyard

• Floo Point: Bell Tower Courtyard
• Cabinet Location: Take the staircase on your left side and keep ascending all the way to the music room. Once there, take the steps on the right through the wooden door. The cabinet is directly in front of you in a storage area filled with musical instruments.
• Key Location: Continue past the cabinet and descend the stairs toward the History of Magic Classroom area.
• Landmarks: The music room with pianos, harps, and other instruments scattered about.

Token 8: Upper Dungeons

• Floo Point: Bell Tower (requires Level 1 Alohomora for dungeon access)
• Cabinet Location: Head up the left staircase and through the door, then descend the stairs to your left through more doors. In the dungeon, turn left down the steps. The cabinet is in a dark corner beside the stone railing.
• Key Location: Continue further down to where the large dragon skeleton is displayed.
• Landmarks: The impressive dragon skeleton mounted on the dungeon wall.

Token 9: Lower Dungeons

• Floo Point: Map Chamber
• Cabinet Location: Exit the Map Chamber through the gate leading to the dungeons, then take the steps down to your left. At the bottom, make a sharp right. The cabinet sits beside some wooden barrel cases.
• Key Location: Head toward the dragon skeleton area. As soon as you enter the hall lined with cauldrons, you'll spot the key.
• Landmarks: Rows of brewing cauldrons and the familiar dragon skeleton.

Library Annex House Tokens (4 Tokens)

Token 10: Central Hall

• Floo Point: Central Hall
• Cabinet Location: Descend the steps and head left past the unicorn fountain. When you reach the Greenhouse doors, turn left again toward the archway. Follow the key back past the unicorn fountain to the opposite end of Central Hall. Turn right from the Transfiguration Courtyard door - the cabinet is tucked in the corner.
• Key Location: The key appears beside you near the archway when you reach the Greenhouse doors.
• Landmarks: The majestic unicorn fountain and the Greenhouse's distinctive glass doors.

Token 11: Viaduct Entrance

• Floo Point: Central Hall
• Cabinet Location: Ascend the staircases past the singing Bard painting until you spot the cabinet on your left side of the corridor.
• Key Location: Continue up the remaining steps and turn right. Under the right-side staircase, between the stone pillars, you'll find the key.
• Landmarks: The animated Bard painting that sings when you pass by.

Token 12: Library

• Floo Point: Library
• Cabinet Location: Turn left immediately after fast traveling. The cabinet sits directly in front of you, positioned across from towering bookcases.
• Key Location: Head back toward the Floo point and walk forward into the main library. The key floats between bookcases, directly in front of the fireplace on your right.
• Landmarks: The cozy fireplace area and the endless rows of magical books.

Token 13: Potions Classroom

• Floo Point: Potions Classroom
• Cabinet Location: Continue through the wooden doors and follow the key down the stairs to the left, where the cabinet awaits.
• Key Location: The key is waiting just outside the classroom doors.
• Landmarks: The distinctive smell and green lighting of the Potions area, with cauldrons and ingredient shelves.

South Wing House Tokens (3 Tokens)

Token 14: Clock Tower

• Floo Point: Clock Tower Courtyard
• Requirements: Level 2 Alohomora for the locked door
• Cabinet Location: Head left until you reach the locked door marked with a level 2 lock symbol. Use Alohomora to unlock it and ascend the stairs, staying to the left. Follow the key up to the next level where the cabinet is located.
• Key Location: After unlocking the door and climbing the stairs while keeping left, you'll spot the key near the clock mechanism.
• Landmarks: The massive clock gears and pendulum mechanism.

Token 15: Faculty Tower

• Floo Point: Faculty Tower
• Requirements: Level 2 Alohomora to access the actual tower
• Cabinet Location: The cabinet is located underneath the stairs, accessible by following the key back down from the upper level.
• Key Location: After unlocking access to the tower with Alohomora, head up the stairs - the key is waiting on the upper level.
• Landmarks: The narrow, winding tower stairs and portraits of former faculty members.

Token 16: Hospital Wing

• Landmarks: The corridor of animated paintings depicting various magical ailments and cures.
• Floo Point: Hospital Wing
• Cabinet Location: The cabinet sits outside the Prefects' Lavatory, positioned beside a statue after following the key back through the hallway.
• Key Location: Head down the staircase and through the corridor lined with moving portraits. The key waits at the end of this hallway.

How House Tokens Work

The House Tokens are locked away in House Cabinets spread around the castle. Here's what you need to know:

• Daedalian Keys: You must locate these magical keys first to unlock the cabinets
• Audio Cues: Listen for a distinctive fluttering, chime-like sound when keys are nearby (audible within 10-15 meters)
• Visual Detection: Use Revelio to highlight both keys (golden glow) and cabinets (blue outline)
• Key Behavior: Once spotted, keys will fly directly to their corresponding cabinet
• Cabinet Locations: Always near the key's flight path - follow the key to find the cabinet
