Assassin's Creed Nexus was initially released on November 16, 2023, on Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3. A trailer for Assassin's Creed Nexus VR was released during the 2023 Game Awards, so there may be new content coming to the game soon.

Assassin's Creed Nexus does not follow a true Assassin's Creed story but rather lets players embody other assassins from across the series. This includes Connor from Assassin's Creed 3, Kassandra from Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Ezio from Assassin's Creed 2. For the first time, players will be able to step into the role of an assassin in first-person.
