How to use the scan in Atomic Heart

The scan is one of the most important features of Atomic Heart. This identifies nearby enemies, POIs, interactable objects, and more. Despite its importance, the feature is not explained very well during the tutorial. Fortunately, we have you covered, and you can find the input for scanning in Atomic Heart below.

  • PS5: Tap R1 twice.
  • Xbox: Tap RB twice.
  • PC: Hold Alt.

The instructions we received on PS5 instructed us to hold R1 + R1. This is impossible since you cannot hold the same button twice. Instead, you have to double-tap the required button. After you press the button twice, hold it to continue scanning longer.

When you scan, you can see nearby enemies, objects, and more. Scanning enemies is a great way to reveal their resistance and weaknesses. Use this to your advantage to pick the right weapon for the job. You can also check out Atomic Heart on Game Pass.
