How to unlock Hexes in Blacktail

Blacktail is a first-person action-adventure game where players can wield a bow and arrow as their only weapon. This might not sound like much, but when combined with the various new skills that brewing resources can unlock in the cauldron, Yaga can become a force to be reckoned with. Players will also unlock corresponding Hexes when unlocking skills, each of which provides different bonuses. The following is all you need to know about Hexes, and how to unlock them in Blacktail.

What are Hexes in Blacktail

Hexes are bonus attributes that players can unlock by unlocking a certain number of skills. Most skills are categorized under a certain Hex which is indicated by the Hex logo on the top of each skill. There are four Hexes: Hare Hex, Goat Hex, Raven Hex, and Snake Hex. Each Hex provides a different bonus, and players can select which Hex they wish to activate by opening the cauldron from the Hut. Only one Hex can be active at a time.

All Hex bonuses in Blacktail

Hex bonuses are revealed only when you unlock a certain Hex. Every Hex requires a minimum of three skills belonging to the corresponding Hex to be unlocked. The following are all the Hex bonuses from each Hex in Blacktail:

• Goat Hex - You can carry six more Wooden Arrows. Every time you dash, you become temporarily Focused.
• Hare Hex - You can carry three more arrows of each type. All healing is more effective.
• Raven Hex - You can carry six more Sticky Arrows. Toxic Veils' and Sticky Arrows' area of effect are bigger. Enemies have a chance of dropping honey when they die.
• Snake Hex - You can carry six more Crystal Arrows. Each magic arrow applies two crystal shards on impact. All incoming damage is doubled. Enemies have a chance of dropping crystals when they die.
