Cyberpunk 2077 GIG: Playing For Keeps – How to steal the Implant

If you are going to survive the streets of Night city, you will need money, and to get money, you will need to complete all matter of side jobs called GIGs. These GIGs will task the player with various objectives that vary between GIG types; Once such quest type is called Thievery GIGs, and in these quests, you will need to steal items while overcoming various obstacles.

Playing For Keeps is a GIG that falls under this description, with how the quest tasks you with stealing an implant from a bar. That said, if you keep reading, we will explain how to steal the implant in Playing For Keeps.

How to steal the implant in Cyberpunk 2077 Playing for Keeps

To steal the implant in the GIG Playing for keeps, you will need to sneak past or take out a guard in an ally next to the Kashuu Hanteen Bar on Clarendon and retrieve it from a locked storage room as shown above. To take the guard out, we recommend hacking the nearby vending machine and selecting "distract enemies" one the guard gets up from their chair to see what is going on, sneak up and take them out.

Afterward, you will be able to get inside the bar's kitchen from a side entrance. The implant is inside a locked storage room, which can be broken into easily if your character has four body attribute points. However, before you can attempt this, you will need to take out another guard that is usually in the spot, as shown above; take them out before proceeding any further with stealing the implant.

After the second guard is down, you can then steal the implant from the storage room if your character has four body attribute points. If you don't have this many points into the body attribute, there is one other way you can get the implant, and you can do this by reading a specific email on a computer inside the kitchen.

You can find the email on the computer as shown above; by reading a specific email, you will gain information that you later use to blackmail the bartender into giving the implant. To read the email, hold the interaction button on the PC monitor, select messages, and read the one labeled proposition.

Once you have done so, circle back around to the front of the bar and speak to the bartender. Upon talking to the bartender, you will have two options: to buy consumables and the other is "Your casino cheats" you will need to select this option to proceed any further.  

After a bit of dialogue, he will leave and then come back with the implant; he set it down on top of the bar counter and ban you from his bar. This isn't a big deal as he sells nothing special, take the implant, and leave. You will then need to deposit at the closest drop box; after this, you will complete Playing for keeps and get your reward.
