The Blood Rush event has been part of Dead by Daylight since 2018 and has taken place every year since 2020. At this point, Blood Rush has become a staple Bloodpoint event. Blood Rush is one of three Bloodpoint events, which multiply the Bloodpoints killers and survivors receive at the end of each trial (round).

The three Bloodpoint events are:

  • Blood Rush - Increases Bloodpoints by 1.5x
  • Blood Hunt - Increases Bloodpoints by 2x
  • Blood Feast - Increases Bloodpoints by 3x

The player can stack this multiplier with any other bonuses players receive from perks and offerings during each trial.

Bloodpoint events don't follow a pattern for release. They are released randomly and will sometimes release with other events, but Bloodpoint events usually last one week.

Behaviour Interactive supplied reasoning for only one Bloodpoint event, the quarantine in 2020. For the COVID-19 Quintine in 2020, the Blood Rush event continued for weeks to reward players for staying at home.
