How to perform Emergency Escapes in Demon Slayer: Hinokami Chronicles

Save your Demon Slayer.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is the latest in CyberConnect2’s line of anime fighting games, tackling the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime and manga, offering an intense area fighter with some of the series’ most popular characters. One of the most critical maneuvers players can learn is the Emergency Escape, a defensive technique that allows users to break free from an attack.

To perform an Emergency Escape, players must press the L1/LB button when an attack hits them when their support gauge has two charges. When the support gauge is full, partner characters can rush in and save players from taking damage. Be advised. This move absorbs the entire support gauge charge to use. Timing is vital, so do your best to synchronize the impact of an attack with your button prompt. Pressing the button too early calls an ally in for a support attack.

Because Emergency Escapes require the aid of an ally, players can only use this move during team battles. Solo battle players won’t have the option to call in help when an opponent rushes them.

You can pick up Demon Slayer: Hinokami Chronicles now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
