How to make Geralt of Rivia in Dragon’s Dogma 2 character creation

Toss a coin to The Witcher.

The character creator of Dragon's Dogma 2 is so powerful it lets you replicate almost any face with remarkable resemblance. Since Geralt of Rivia is my favorite action RPG hero, I thought it would be fun to make him a pawn for Dragon's Dogma 2.

How to make Geralt from The Witcher in Dragon's Dogma 2

The first step is to choose a base head that has features similar to Geralt's. For that, I chose the 8th face on the first selection menu (image above). Once you select the base head, you are prompted with a second step where you have to choose from nine variants from the same "genetics". Choose the second one, and for the third level of refinement, choose the second option again. You'll end up with a face like the one below.

Geralt of Rivia detailed customization in Dragon's Dogma 2

The customization starts with the body, and the height and weight of characters matter in this game. According to the lore, Geralt was about 6'6, or 198cm, so I adjusted the body parameters to make him tall and muscular while staying on the light and fast side of the build.

  • Height: 198
  • Torso Length: 20
  • Muscle Style: Type 19
  • Muscle Strength: 100
  • Traps Size: 16
  • Upper Body Muscle Mass: 79
  • Lower Body Muscle Mass: 100
  • Upper Body Size: -100
  • Lower Body Size: -100

This results in a weight of 95, which seems light for a man of his height and will allow him to recover stamina quicker.

Nose

Geralt's nose is one of his most recognizable features. The base head I chose had some resemblance from the start, but it needs some adjustments:

  • Nose Length: 51
  • Bridge Width: 32
  • Bridge Height: 61
  • Bridge Bump (Overall): 47
  • Bridge Bump (Higher): -16
  • Bridge Bump (Lower): -71
  • Nostril Size: 20
  • Nostril Height: -41
  • Nostril Width: 40
  • Tip Depth: 31
  • Tip Angle: -35
  • Tip Sharpness: 31

Jaw

The jaw and face contour define Geralt's identity. His sharp cheekbones, hollow cheeks and square jaw give him the strong and menacing look of a monster hunter.

  • Jaw Definition: 97
  • Jaw Width: 52
  • Jaw Position: 14
  • Jaw Protrusion: -35
  • Chin Height: 90
  • Chin Width: -28
  • Chin Protrusion: 94
  • Chin Sharpness: 11

Cheeks

His cheeks sit high in the face and are lean and hollow.

  • Cheek/Neck Thickness: -5
  • Cheek Bulge: 16
  • Neck Fat: -100
  • Cheek Height: 100
  • Cheek Width: 12
  • Cheek Depth: 75

Head Size

The base head needs some modification to adjust for a larger forehead, so go to the head size adjustments and enter the following parameters:

  • Head Size: 0
  • Head Length: 15
  • Head Width: 0
  • Head Depth: -19
  • Face Height: -52
  • Neck Length: 35
  • Neck Thickness: -27

Eyes

The eyes are key to giving him the Witcher look. The need to be far apart and squinted, as if he is always scanning for a prey; and they need to be yellow. Sadly, there are no cat pupil eyes in the game yet, so you will have to settle for round pupils.

  • Eye Height: 85
  • Eye Width: 100
  • Eye Depth: -56
  • Eye Size: 26
  • Eye Angle: -52
  • Squint (Left Eye): 100
  • Squint (Right Eye): 100

For the eye color, I kept the sclera at #107 and chose #64, #63, and #87 for the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors respectively.

Brow

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Geralt's brows are stern and show almost no curvature. The default texture for the brows seemed ok, but you can add some scars to the face and body to improve the resemblance.

  • Brow Height: -78
  • Brow Spacing: 100
  • Brow Depth (Overall): 11
  • Brow Depth (Inner): 56
  • Brow Depth (Outer): -58
  • Brow Angle: 37
  • Brow Bend: 95

Mouth

Geralt's mouth is wide and has thin lips, but changing the size parameters isn't enough to make it look similar. You will need to follow these parameters and also pick a particular skin texture to get lips that look like Geralt's (shown in the skin section below).

  • Mouth Height: -4
  • Mouth Width: 64
  • Mouth Protrusion: 17
  • Mouth Corners: -94
  • Lip Thickness: -95
  • Lower Lip Position: -15

Skin

The skin texture #36 with the skin color #14 gave me the combination I found akin to Geralt's design. The texture also replaces the shape of the lips, giving it the narrow, pressed look I needed.

Hairstyle

The hair was the hardest part, for there are no hairstyles that match Geralt's. In fact, the biggest criticism I have for the character creation is the lack of more long hair options. However, you can go with #25, #21, or #44 to get a comparable hairstyle. For the color, I chose #182, and for the beard I went with #2.
