Should you skip the Tutorial in Dune: Spice Wars?

We recommend players to not skip the Tutorial as it introduces you to some of the core concepts in Dune: Spice Wars. The very first objective requires players to use Ornithopters to discover new Villages with Spice Fields across neighboring Regions, and capture them with Military forces to start Spice production. The Tutorial also introduces players to Espionage, Landsraad Standing, CHAOM Contract, Development, and Landsraad Resolutions which affect your Faction's overall position in the game.

What happens if you miss the Imperial Tax in Dune: Spice Wars?

The Imperial Tax is one of the most important factors in the game, and players will have to pay it by collecting enough Spice before the time runs out. Harvesters are required to farm Spice out of Spice Fields, and this Resource can be kept in Stockpile to automatically pay the Imperial Tax. However, if players fail to pay the Imperial Tax, then it will radically reduce their Faction's Landsraad Standing and Hegemony

If you are low on Spice and have only a few days to pay the Imperial Tax, then it's ideal to use Trade options with other Factions. Trade Resources which are not important for your Faction, and get the much-needed Spice. Players can also check the Spice Report to see currently expected stocks before the next Tax period.

Agents are required to carry out Espionage missions and operations. While they can Infiltrate all of the Factions, Agents are at the risk of getting captured by opposing Houses. However, players can Trade captured Agents by negotiating with leaders of the Faction.

To do this, you will need to make an appealing offer by giving enough Resources in exchange for the Agent. Similarly, players will also get to capture Agents from opposing Factions, and you can choose to set them free by exploiting huge amounts of Resources via Trading options.

Traveling with your Militia between Regions can be a hassle in Dune: Spice Wars, especially if you do not govern that area. Your troops will incur damage and are prone to be attacked by Sandworms. Thus, players will have to fast travel Military troops from one Village to another and to do that, you will need to construct Airfields.

Select your army, and click on the Shuttle option to fast travel at Villages with Airfields. These buildings can be placed in Villages far from each other to have complete control over all the Regions under your Faction. You can fast travel troops from your Main Base to Villages with Airfields in exchange for Solari.
