Should you buy the Starglitter characters in Genshin Impact?

Yes, the Starglitter characters are worth buying, but only under specific circumstances. Each character costs 34 Starglitter, which takes an extended time to accumulate. Since the Starglitter Exchange only offers four-star characters, you can acquire most of these characters from Event Banners. However, some characters are almost impossible to obtain from a Banner.

If the monthly Starglitter Exchange shop has characters like Kaeya, Amber, or Lisa, it's wise to purchase them. These characters are close to impossible to acquire from an Event or Standard Banner. The Starglitter Exchange shop should be your main source if you aspire to increase their Constellations.

How do you get Starglitter?

The only way to gain Starglitter is by wishing on a Banner. Whenever you roll a four-star or five-star weapon, or a duplicate character, you receive differing amounts of Starglitter. These amounts are determined by the item's rarity and the Constellation level of the duplicate character. Although four-star weapons grant only two Starglitter, a five-star character duplicate grants 10 Starglitter.
