Best TCG Decks in Genshin Impact

It's time to duel!

Even though it is meant to be a casual experience, plenty of people are searching for how to get an edge in Genshin Impact's TCG, Genius Invokation. With each update, HoYoverse adds new cards, buffs, and nerfs existing ones, making the "meta" decks change routinely. I don't expect this will change, either. Generally, you should try to use the right deck to match the challenge you're facing. However, certain cards and deck combinations are powerful enough to get you through almost any scenario. Here are the best decks you can currently build for Genshin Impact's TCG.

Genshin Impact TCG Best Deck Tier List

Here's some of the best decks you can build for Genius Invokation, Genshin Impact's TCG. We've ranked them from S-Tier to C-Tier.

S Tier Genshin Impact TCG Decks

Two specific decks stand out from the crowd. The first is a Freeze deck, usually comprised of Ayaka, Chongyun, and Xingqiu. Other than the standard best action cards you could use, such as Liben and Paimon, you'll want to use action cards like Elemental Resonance: Woven Ice and Elemental Resonance: Shattering Ice to give you more Energy or extra Cryo dice. You'll also want to focus on boosting Ayaka's normal attacks via cards like Minty Meat Rolls and Kanten Senmyou Blessing. This lineup works best by using Xingqiu's Burst quickly, then swapping to Ayaka for cryo-infused normal attacks.

  • Charcter Cards: Ayaka, Chongyun, and Xingqiu
  • Action Cards:
    • Liben x 1
    • Chang the Ninth x 2
    • Liu Su x 2
    • Paimon x 2
    • Elemental Resonance: Woven Ice x 2
    • Elemental Resonance: Shattering Ice x 2
    • Changing Shifts x 2
    • Leave it to me! x 2
    • Minty Meat Rolls x 2
    • Adeptus Temptation x 2
    • Gambler's Earrings x 2
    • Starsigns x 2
    • Kanten Senmyou Blessing x 2
    • Parametric Transformer x 2
    • Strategize x 2
    • Dawn Winery x 1

While Electro-Charged may not be much of an elemental reaction out in the open world, in Genius Invocation TCG, it can work wonders. This deck combo usually comprises Rhodeia of Loch, Fischl, and the Mirror Maiden. You could also use another Electro Character in Fischl's place, but she certainly works the best.

  • Character Cards: Rhodeia of Loch, Fischl, and Mirror Maiden
  • Action Cards:
    • Liben x 1
    • Chang the Ninth x 2
    • Liu Su x 2
    • Paimon x 2
    • Elemental Resonance: Soothing Waters x 2
    • Elemental Resonance: Woven Waters x 2
    • Changing Shifts x 2
    • Leave It to Me! x 2
    • General's Ancient Helm x 2
    • Adeptus Temptation x 2
    • Favonius Cathedral x 2
    • Starsigns x 2
    • Calx's Arts x 2
    • Parametric Transformer x 2
    • Strategize x 2
    • Dawn Winery x 1

A Tier Genshin Impact TCG Decks

If you feel like using some newer elemental reactions, you can try a Quicken deck. This deck uses Raiden Shogun, Collei, and Kujou Sara. Your objective is to get Raiden Shogun to burst as soon as possible, so bring cards in your deck to support her, like the Ornate Kabuto Artifact Card. Collei will be setting up the Dendro-based reaction, so you can bring the Laurel Coronet card and Floral Sidewinder to give yourself an extra edge. This deck is new to update version 3.7, and I wouldn't be surprised if it creeps up to S tier in the Meta overtime.

  • Character Cards: Raiden Shogun, Collei, and Kujou Sara
  • Action Cards:
    • Liben x 2
    • Elemental Resonance: Woven Thunder x 2
    • Elemental Resonance: High Voltage x 2
    • Changing Shifts x 2
    • Leave It to Me! x 2
    • Ornate Kabuto x 2
    • Jade Chamber x 1
    • Liu Su x 2
    • Strategize x 2
    • Calx's Arts x 2
    • Quick Knit x 2
    • Lotus Flower Crisp x 2
    • Laurel Coronet x 1
    • The Bestest Travel Companion! x 2
    • Floral Sidewinder x 2
    • Paimon x 2

There's another popular deck that uses the Electro Element: the Overload deck. The character cards you'll generally use for it are Xiangling, Fischl, and Keqing. You'll need to use cards that boost Energy, like Starsigns, to try and get Xiangling's Burst off quickly, then deal AOE damage by adding Electro to the mix using either Fischl or Keqing. Use the Exile's Circlet Artifact card on Xiangling to give Energy all around after she uses her Elemental Burst and strike combos quicker.

  • Character Cards: Xiangling, Fischl, and Keqing
  • Action Cards:
    • Liben x 1
    • Elemental Resonance: Woven Thunder x 2
    • Elemental Resonance: High Voltage x 2
    • Changing Shifts x 2
    • Leave It to Me! x 2
    • Thundering Penance x 2
    • Jade Chamber x 1
    • Liu Su x 2
    • Strategize x 2
    • Calx's Arts x 2
    • Quick Knit x 2
    • Lotus Flower Crisp x 2
    • Exile's Circlet x 1
    • Aquila Favonia x 1
    • The Bestest Travel Companion! x 2
    • Starsigns x 2
    • Paimon x 2

B Tier Genshin Impact Deck

Almost any other reaction-based deck will fall into this category. One of the more notable ones is a Crystallize deck. It is generally comprised of Barbara, Noelle, and Ningguang. While it's a deck that will help you survive against some heavy hitters, this deck lacks offensive capability. You can try to mitigate some of this by adding Weapon Cards such as Wolf's Gravestone or Skyward Atlas. You can also use a Wagner card to make weapon cards easier to play.

  • Character Cards: Barbara, Noelle, and Ningguang
  • Action Cards:
    • Liben x 1
    • Elemental Resonance: Woven Stone x 2
    • Elemental Resonance: Enduring Rock x 2
    • I Haven't Lost Yet! x 2
    • Jade Chamber x 2
    • Strategize x 2
    • Lotus Flower Crisp x 2
    • Liyue Harbor Warf x 2
    • Wagner x 1
    • Paimon x 2
    • The Bestest Travel Companion! x 2
    • Starsigns x 2
    • Adeptus' Temptation x 2
    • I Got Your Back x 2
    • Skyward Atlas x 1
    • Wolf's Gravestone x 1
    • Archaic Petra x 2

C Tier Genshin Impact Deck

The lowest of the low is your Starter deck. While it will get you through your first few adventure challenges, you'll want to upgrade to something a bit more coordinated if you want to go toe to toe with the toughest opponents in the Cat's Tail. We recommend changing your deck once you've gotten newer cards, either by purchasing them from Prince's Shop or by winning them from characters you challenge by invitation.

Best Genshin Impact TCG Cards

No matter what type of elemental reaction you want to try to exploit, Genius Invokation TCG provides several different ways of doing so. However, a few character cards stand out from the pack and can have various decks built around them. These are the best character cards in Genshin Impact's TCG:

  • Ayaka
  • Fischl
  • Raiden Shogun
  • Collei
  • Xingqiu

Try to invite these characters to duel at the Cat's Tail as soon as possible. If you defeat them on Friendly Fracas mode, you'll be able to collect their character cards. Inviting characters to the Cat's Tail costs invitations, which you receive for increasing your player level. After you've reached certain player levels, you can also purchase a limited amount of invitations from Prince's Shop.
