How to restore all Mechanical Painting Parts in the Genshin Impact Evermotion Mechanical Painting event

Help another Daydream Club member realize his ambitions!

Genshin Impact's Evermotion Mechanical Painting event runs from Aug. 12, 2022, to Aug. 22, 2022, and introduces players to Felix Yogue, a self-proclaimed daydreamer from the Court of Fontaine. In this event, you must help him restore the Mechanical Painting Parts that Hilichurls stole.

How to unlock the Evermotion Mechanical Painting event in Genshin Impact

To unlock this event, you must first meet the following prerequisites:

  • Reach Adventure Rank 18 or above
  • Complete the Monstadt Archon Quest Prologue: Act III - Song of the Dragon and Freedom

Once done, you'll automatically get an Event Quest called Evermotion Mechanical Painting, leading you back to Monstadt. Felix Yogue will ask you to head to a nearby Hilichurl encampment to defeat the enemies and retrieve a Box of Components. After that, you can unlock the Mechanical Painting Part restoration game mode and initiate it by speaking to Felix Yogue.

How to restore all Mechanical Painting Parts in the Evermotion Mechanical Painting event

Six Mechanical Painting Parts unlock throughout the first six days of the event. We'll update this guide as soon as new stages unlock, so don't forget to check back daily!

To restore Mechanical Painting Parts, you must fit various Gears into a board until they all start to move. You can pick one Gear per preset Position on the left and switch to Upper or Lower Level to adjust its placement. There's no time limit; you can try as many times as you like. If you make a mistake, click the Reset button on the bottom right of the screen.

Use the default Level of all the Gears for this puzzle (Lower Level). Place the following gears in each Position to complete it.

  • Position: 1—Medium Gear
  • Position: 2—Small Gear
  • Position: 3—Medium Gear
  • Position: 4—Large Gear
  • Position: 5—Small Gear
  • Position: 6—Medium Gear

How to restore the Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Finale in Genshin Impact

Once you're done with all six Evermotion Paintings, you'll get the final Event Quest, Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Finale. You must splice together all the paintings to form a masterpiece. Place the pieces in the positions below in any order.

You will need to Rotate them until they're oriented the same way as the image above. The number of rotations seems different for everyone, so just reference the final image above to help you out.
