How to unlock all Clearance in Genshin Impact

Clearance is an important desert exploration mechanic tied to the Scarlet Sand Slate. Increasing its level will allow you to unlock more doors and solve puzzles, furthering your exploration potential. If you explore the desert and complete the related quests, you'll naturally unlock the first few Clearances. However, the last Clearance is locked behind a quick Hidden Exploration Objective in the Desert of Hadramaveth.

Don't forget to double-check the Scarlet Sand Slate in your Gadget inventory to keep track of which Clearances you already have.

How to use Clearance in Genshin Impact

Clearances are represented by symbols in the Scarlet Sand Slate. These same symbols appear on devices in front of doors in various ruins in the desert, and you can only unlock them when your Scarlet Sand Slate contains the corresponding Clearances.

For example, your Scarlet Sand Slate needs to have the symbol above to obtain Clearance to interact with the device and unlock the door.

How to solve the You Do Not Have Enough Clearance error in Genshin Impact

Above are all the symbols that will appear in the Scarlet Sand Slate, representing various Clearance levels. Keep in mind that the first symbol can appear up to four times in a device, but you need two different Clearances for them. Unlock them all by completing the following prerequisites:

• Golden Slumber
  • Lost in the Sands
  • An Introduction to Indoor Archaeology
  • The Secret of Al-Ahmar - unlocks the Scarlet Sand Slate, plus the first two Clearances
  • Dreams Beneath the Searing Sand
• Old Notes and New Friends
  • Dual Evidence - unlocks the third Clearance, and allows you to open doors with up to four of the first symbol
• Pathfinder's Log: VI
  • Read this note in the Desert of Hadramaveth to unlock the final Clearance

How to unlock the hidden final Clearance in Genshin Impact (Pathfinders' Log: VI location)

To find the elusive note that unlocks the final Clearance, head to the Teleport Waypoint west of Wadi Al-Majuj. This will take you to the edge of a cliff. From there, descend toward the rickety wooden bridge pictured above, where Fatui Skirmishers are camping.

Then use the nearby Four-Leaf Sigil to enter a small cave, where you'll find an obelisk and Primal Constructs inside. Glide toward the other side of the cave, where there are visible torches.

Interact with the Pathfinders' Log: VI by the torch at the foot of the staircase to automatically unlock the final clearance.
