Prospector’s Drill – How to get, Ascension, stats, and who can use it in Genshin Impact

Prospector's Drill is a four-star Polearm in the Fontaine Construction series, which includes weapons similarly designed to the region's unique Meka. It offers a substat and passive suitable for both main and sub-DPS units, but will sometimes require a healer to meet its conditional requirements.

The Prospector's Drill is not readily available all year round, but if you were lucky enough to get it, a good roster of characters can use it. Here's what you need to know about how to get, Ascend, and who can use the Prospector's Drill in Genshin Impact.

How to get Prospector's Drill in Genshin Impact

Prospector's Drill is a limited four-star weapon and can't be pulled from the standard banner, so it can only be obtained when it's on rotation in the current weapon banner. Unfortunately, four-star weapons are difficult to Wish for, as you can't chart an Epitomized Path to guarantee it at any point in the pity counter. The Prospector's Drill also rarely goes on rotation, so if you absolutely need it, you'll have to quickly try your luck as soon as it appears in the limited weapon banner.

  • When the wielder is healed or heals others, they will gain a Unity's Symbol that lasts 30 seconds, up to a maximum of three Symbols. When using their Elemental Skill or Burst, all Symbols will be consumed, and the Struggle effect will be granted for 10 seconds. For each Symbol consumed, gain 3/4/5/6/7% Attack and 7/8.5/10/11.5/13% All Elemental Damage Bonus. The Struggle effect can be triggered once every 15 seconds, and Symbols can be gained even when the character is not on the field.

Who can use Prospector's Drill in Genshin Impact

With an Attack substat and a passive that boosts Attack and All Elemental Damage, Prospector's Drill can be decently paired with main DPS and sub-DPS units. It's best on characters who deal Elemental Reactions, so I wouldn't recommend it on Geo units.

However, the Prospector's Drill has a unique quirk: the passive will only activate when the wielder is healed or heals others. As a result, it's best to pair the wielder with a healer to constantly trigger the passive effect. Characters who can use Prospector's Drill include:
