There are a bunch of resources and materials for players to collect in God of War Ragnarok. Most resources are used to upgrade weapons and gear, like the Chaos Flames and Frozen Flames. Ydailir Timber is one of these rare materials as well. It can be tough to find without searching in the right locations.
Where to find Ydailir Timber in God of War Ragnarok
While playing through the story, Ydalir Timber appears to first become obtainable when playing alone as Atreus in Ironwood. It doesn't seem like players can find Ydalir Timber when playing as Kratos. This makes sense, as this resource is only used to upgrade Atreus' Bow.
Make sure to grab this material up when going through areas playing Atreus since the game locks players out of returning to these locations until progressing further in the story. Be on the lookout for Red Chests and Legendary Chests along the way, though keep in mind that these can be hidden fairly well. It would be wise to search every nook and cranny. Leave no stone unturned.

What is Ydailir Timber used for in God of War Ragnarok?
As previously mentioned, Ydalir Timber is pretty much exclusively used to upgrade Atreus' Bow, which could use the boost since it deals considerably less damage than his father's Leviathan Axe and Blades of Chaos.
