Does Gotham Knights have co-op split-screen?

Sadly, you cannot play with a friend sitting beside you in Gotham Knights.

Being able to sit next to a friend and play a game over local co-op is a delight. Let the banter flow, and have a good time. So one question that springs to mind. Does Gotham Knights have co-op split-screen?

Is there couch co-op in Gotham Knights?

No, Gotham Knights does not have co-op split-screen in any shape or form. Playing online is the only way to play with a friend or another person via quick match. You cannot get a friend over to sit next to you and boot up Gotham Knights to play together on the same console, same screen couch co-op.

Many games overlook this co-op functionality, but we have no idea why Gotham Knights only chose to make it online co-op. With four playable characters to choose from, with skill trees and gear, it makes no sense why a player can't just hop on and take control as one of them on the same console.

Gotham Knight emphasizes co-op play, with characters having co-op-related skills they can learn. Such as powering up friends to deal more damage or healing allies, and more. Sure this is fine online, but local co-op would have also been a perfect addition.

Things may change, as WB Montreal releases Heroic Assault at the end of November, but it's doubtful.
