You can choose whatever kind of character you want to play in Guild Wars 2. Warriors are among the the best classes, but making a good build requires choosing the right skills and specializations. The following are three of the best builds for warriors in Guild Wars 2.

Even if you do not wish to pay a subscription fee, you can get this build. Focus on the skills below for an overall good build, but be sure to have an Axe.

Skills

  • Main Skills
    • Eviscerate - Jump onto your enemy and deal a great attack. The damage you deal will increase as your Adrenaline level increases.
      • Any successful hit gives Might.
  • Dual Axe
    • Chop - Chop down on your enemy.
    • Cyclone Axe - Attacks all enemies nearby as you spin around. As well as giving your enemy vulnerability, this skill also gives you Fury for each hit.
    • Throw Axe - Throw your axe at your enemies to cripple them. You will receive bonus damage when your health is low.
    • Dual Strike - Hit your enemy with both axes. You will gain quickness with every strike that hits.
    • Whirling Axe - Move and spin to attack enemies.
  • Utility
    • Mending - Remove all negative conditions and heal yourself.
    • "For Great Justice!" - Grant Fury and Might to all party members (including yourself).
    • Signet of Might - When active, this passively improves your Power, but your attacks become unblockable once active, and you gain Might from them.
    • Signet of Fury - This passively improves your Precision, but it increases your Ferocity and Precision when active.
    • Signet of Rage - This passively grants Adrenaline, but it raises Fury, Might, and Swiftness when active.

Warrior PvP build

This is another great core Warrior build that focuses more on player-vs-player. If you want a build designed to take every other player out, this is the one for you. Make sure to have a Greatsword for this build.

Skills

  • Main Skills
    • Arcing Slice - Circle around and attack every enemy around you. This gains Fury upon successful hits.
      • Enemies with lower health will receive more damage.
  • Greatsword
    • Greatsword Swing - A regular slash at the enemy.
    • Hundred Blades - Deal multiple strikes toward enemies.
      • The last strike will deal more damage than the ones before.
    • Whirlwind Attack - Whirl and attack toward a target's direction. All enemies in the way will take damage.
    • Bladetrail - Throw your sword like a boomerang at your enemy, crippling any enemy in the way.
      • The sword will return to you at the end of the skill.
    • Rush - Charge and strike your enemy.
  • Utility
    • Mending - Heal yourself and remove all negative conditions.
    • "Shake It Off" - Cure conditions of all party members and break any stuns.
    • Bull's Charge - Charge at your enemy and knock them down.
    • Signet of Might - This improves your Power passively, but when active, all your attacks are unblockable, and you will gain Might from them.
    • Rampage - Turn yourself into a huge juggernaut, reducing damage taken and duration of movement-impinging conditions.

Power DPS Build

The Bladesworn Elite Specialization, an Axe, and a Pistol are required for this build. This build is ideal for Power-DPS players. You'll be a great secondary attacker if you're in a party with a tank. This is the best overall build for a Warrior.

Skills

  • Main Skills
    • Unsheathe Gunsaber - Unsheathe your gunsaber to gain new skills. Changes your weapon recharge rate affect this skill.
    • Dragon Trigger - Channels energy for Dragoni Slash. You drain flow while channeling, and each interval increases the charge level of Dragon Slash.
      • This skill will cancel if you move during it.
  • Pistol/Axe
    • Chop - Chops your enemy with your Axe.
    • Cyclone Axe - Spin around and attacks all enemies next to you. This skill also gives vulnerability to your enemy and gives you Fury for each hit.
    • Throw Axe - You throw your axe to cripple your enemies. This will deal bonus damage when your health is lower.
    • Gunstinger - Move forward quickly and attack your enemy while reloading your gun.
      • This will give you ammo and hurt the enemy.
    • Dragon's Roar - Fire all of the barrels in your hand cannon to deal incredible damage to your enemy.
      • This skill will consume all of your ammo and pushes you back based on how much ammo you have available.
  • Utility
    • "To The Limit" - You will regain all Adrenaline and will be healed. Any nearby allies will gain endurance.
    • Signet of Might - This improves your Power passively, but when active, all your attacks are unblockable, and you will gain Might from them.
    • Signet of Fury - This improves your Precision passively, but when active, you will gain Adrenaline, and your Precision and ferocity will improve.
    • Flow Stabilizer - Increases your flow rate and gives you Fury. If you already have Fury, you'll gain some additional flow rate.
    • Tactical Reload - Reload ammo on all profession skills.
