Where does Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link take place?

Back to the city of white...

Alongside the reveal of Kingdom Hearts IV was the announcement of the new mobile game, Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link. After a wait of four years, KH fans are getting lots of new gaming content to look forward to, and yet another story to memorize in the convoluted world that we love.

Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link will be taking place in Scala ad Caelum. For those that have played Kingdom Hearts III, you will recognize this as the lovely place encountered near the end of the game, where you face off against Xehanort.

This will give players a chance to explore the city a little more and discover more about it, as the time spent there in KH3 was limited, and focused solely around defeating Xehanort.

Many places and worlds have been explored within the Kingdom Hearts games, but this is a newer one. So, it will be nice to traverse somewhere that isn't... Traverse Town and such!

It is also known as the Stairway to Heaven, and is believed to be where all of the previous Keyblade wielders and masters congregated. Not to mention, Caelum is also the last name of Noctis from Final Fantasy XV, so there's a nice little crossover reference there.
