Foreman Nakashima is the first boss in New World's low-level expedition, Amrine Excavation. He is a fairly straightforward encounter. If you dodge his ghost summons and, depending on your position, stay in or out of the spectral chain circle he summons, you'll be able to defeat him in no time.
Where to find Foreman Nakashima in Amrine Excavation?
Foreman Nakashima can be found later in the expedition, at the Star Shrine location on the map. You'll have to battle through several enemies and activate the bridge mechanism before you reach him. Once you reach the Star Shrine, you'll have to activate the Spectral Shrine to summon him.

How to defeat Foreman Nakashima
Once Foreman Nakashima has been summoned, make sure that your tank damages him first to grab aggro. Besides his regular attacks, he has three special abilities that you need to watch out for.
For the first ability, Foreman Nakashima will raise his hands in the air and scream. Ghosts will shoot outward from his body in random directions and damage anyone they contact. Try to dodge these.
His second ability is similar to the first. He will summon a wall of four ghosts standing in line with a gap somewhere in between. These ghosts will sweep across the battlefield and do damage if they hit you.
Foreman Nakashima's final move is to summon a circle of spectral chains. If you are inside the circle and then leave the circle, you will be stunned. Just stay put if you're inside, and don't move in if you're outside.
Foreman Nakashima should provide a challenge but not be too difficult as the first expedition boss you're likely to face in New World. Dodge his ghosts and make sure you don't move either out or into the circle of chains, and you'll defeat him in no time and be able to get yourself some sweet loot.
