How to get repair parts in New World?

To get repair parts to repair your equipment and items in New World, you will need to salvage items you do not want in New World.

You can salvage items by right-clicking on a salvageable item such as armor and weapons. When you right-click, there will be an option called salvage, as shown below.

Click this option if you wish to salvage and gain a small number of repair parts or gold. You can also salvage gear by clicking S and the left mouse button at the same time.

Doing either option will have a small prompt appear asking you to confirm the salvaging of your item, hit E, or click confirm to salvage the item as shown below.

Once salvaged, you will get a small amount of gold and repair parts depending on the item. You can then use these repair parts to make repair kits or repair your armor outright.

How to repair your items with repair parts in New World?

To repair armor and weapons with repair parts, you will need to right-click a damaged item and press either repair or the R key and the left mouse button.

Doing so will make a prompt similar to when you want to salvage something appear. Hit either E to confirm or click it to repair your item. Each time you repair an item, it will use either repair kits or repair parts and a small amount of gold depending on the item.
