New World Stonecutting Leveling Guide

Here's everything you need to know about leveling stonecutting in New World.

If you want to make gems or stone blocks, you will need to level up stonecutting. To level up stonecutting, you will need to farm stone from boulders. You can mine stone from boulders if you have a pickaxe, and the better the pickaxe and higher your skill in mining, the faster you can get the stone you need.

Putting perks into strength can also help with mining which will, in turn, help you get more stone. You will need to take it to a stonecutting table inside a town and make stone blocks as you get stone. Doing so will level up your stonecutting skill, allowing you to make gems when you eventually get them from mining.

Making gems and other blocks will net you more XP in the long run as well, but you will want to focus primarily on both gems and stone as they are easy to get.

We highly recommend going on mining runs and focusing on getting both stone and boulders and then taking everything you get back to town to turn into gems and stone blocks.

As you repeat these steps, you will raise your stonecutting skill higher and higher along with your mining skill. Mining is also a good skill to level, as it is required for more advanced materials made via the stonecutting table.
