Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl may at first glance appear just to be a Super Smash Bros. clone, but it is quickly shaping up to be serious competition for the top-rated platform fighter. It features an ensemble cast of popular characters from various Nickelodeon shows, much like Super Smash Bros. features various gaming franchises.
The developers have shown off several of the characters who make up the roster for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl in videos that break down their play style and move set. They just released a video showing off Lucy Loud on September 28.
Markus Villalobos from the development team demonstrates the cynical and goth sister of Lincoln Loud. She has a technical fighting style that emphasizes her doom and gloom nature. She has a short range but features many mix-ups that include three different modes that modify her attacks. Which mode she is in can be determined by the effects around her character.
Lucy has three different modes. These are normal, vampire, and ghost. The mode is changed based on her natural special attack, and each affects her specials differently. Lucy utilizes gloomy objects such as a coffin or a scythe in her attacks.
The video also showcases her stage. It is the Royal Woods Cemetery. It is a small stage with no platforms and has a tombstone hazard that can pop up on the map. Dust particles will show where the tombstone rises. It can damage you if you are standing on it as it rises, and it can be used as a wall or platform.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl releases October 5, 2021. You can take a look at Lucy Loud's showcase video below.
