How to use the DOTS Projector in Phasmophobia?

Laser show!

In the latest Phasmophobia updated Exposition, a new item has been added to the game to aid you with your paranormal hunting goals. The DOTS project will help you obtain evidence for both new and old ghost types.

The DOTS projector is primary used to detect paranormal movements that happen to walk through it. This new piece of equipment emits a myriad of laser lights around its placed location, and anything that moves within the lasers is highlighted. This, combined with a video camera, will be perfect for the person in the truck to keep their eye on or if the ghost needs to be alone in the room with someone.

Like any other bit of equipment, it has to be activated before it is placed, or nothing will happen. Press F before the highlighted placement silhouette appears and then place it. The DOTS Projector is not something you would use straight away—it would be used to strengthen your other pieces of evidence of the ghost type and place it by rooms you suspect to be the haunted location.

Only a handful of ghost types are detectable with the DOTS Projector:

  • Banshee
  • Goryo
  • Oni
  • Phantom
  • Wraith
  • Yokai

About the Author

Hey, my name is Mark, and I'm a video game enthusiast! My earliest memory was playing Worms on the Amiga against my Godmother, yes the Amiga, massive box type thing, needed eighty-five thousand floppy disks to play one game, maybe a slight exaggeration. Ah, those were the days! I love RPG’s, and The Legend of Zelda series. Dogs are pretty awesome.
