How to get Shiny Landorus in Pokémon GO

In order to catch a Shiny Landorus in Pokémon GO, it needs to appear in the 5-Star Raid schedule. Because it is a Legendary Pokémon, you won't find it in Eggs or in the wild. 5-Star Raids are currently the only way to obtain it without trading, though Niantic could add other methods in the future, such as in special Research Breakthroughs or as part of an event.

This is the same for both its Incarnate and Therian Formes.

How often does Shiny Landorus return to Pokémon GO?

Shiny Landorus has been available to catch in Pokémon GO twice at the time of writing: in March 2021 and in April 2023. Based on this, it's estimated that it will appear in the 5-Star Raid rotation every two years, though there has been no official confirmation from Niantic or The Pokémon Company on this.

What are the odds of getting a Shiny Landorus in Pokémon GO?

Unlike regular Pokémon, Mythical and Legendary Raid Pokémon have a 5% chance of being Shiny in Pokémon GO, including Landorus.

This means that you're looking at a one-in-20 encounter rate, though it's not guaranteed after fighting 20—it could take more or less to appear; your mileage may vary.

Best moves for Landorus

Though both Incarnate and Therian Forme Landorus can learn a handful of Fast and Charged Attacks, there are two that outdo the rest by a large margin in terms of pure attack damage and widespread coverage:
