How to get more inventory slots in Slime Rancher 2

Slime Rancher 2 is a fascinating adventure life simulation available on PC and free with Xbox Game Pass. Continue the story of Beatrix as she delves into a new journey on Rainbow Island. There are plenty of new Slimes to discover and mysterious tech and secrets to uncover. You will need plenty of space for your Vacpack to bring back all the materials and Slimes you find in your exploration of the wilds. Here's how you can increase your carrying capacities.

Extra Tank Upgrade

If you're looking for an extra slot added to your inventory toolbar at the bottom of your screen, you will want to go straight to your Fabricator in the lower level of the Conservatory and purchase the Extra Tank Upgrade. This Tank Upgrade will cost you 1500 Newbucks, 10 Rock Plorts, and 10 Silky Sand to put together, so it may take some time to acquire.

Your inventory slots at the bottom of the screen are called Tanks. Once you purchase the Extra Tank Upgrade, this will add an extra slot, or Tank, to that bar. This will allow you to carry another type of object and stack them in the slot. While you gather the materials for this Upgrade, you can also work toward the Tank Booster Upgrade, increasing your carry space.

Tank Booster Upgrade

The Tank Booster Upgrade can also be fabricated in your machine in the lower level, which, similarly to the Extra Tank Upgrade, requires you to spend a bit of Newbucks and materials to create. This Upgrade costs 450 Newbucks and 10 Tabby Plorts, a little easier of a task than the other. However, the Booster will not add another slot to your inventory, instead increases the space in each slot.

Each of your Tanks can carry a multitude of the same items in each. The Tank Booster Upgrade will allow you to carry up to 30 units in each as long as they are the same item, such as 30 Cotton Plorts in one and 30 Tabby Plorts in another. This makes it easier to carry things in bulk back to the Conservatory and sell, store, or move them all at once.

You will need plenty of space in your Vacpack to carry all the wonderous Slime and materials around Rainbow Island and return them to your Conservatory. Keep hunting down the Plorts and resources needed to Upgrade your tech and increase your carrying capabilities.
