All Keycard locations in Sons of the Forest and how to get them

Like its predecessor, the Sons of the Forest throws you onto an island full of cannibals and mutant creatures, leaving you to fight for your life. But there's more under the island's surface, figuratively and literally. To uncover the true story of experiments on the island, you'll have to obtain various Keycards, and in this guide, we will show you where to find all Keycards in Sons of the Forest.

Where to find all three Keycards in Sons of the Forest

There are three Keycards to be found in Sons of the Forest, and all three are relative to each other. On your GPS, near where you crashed in the helicopter, you'll see a triangle of green blips. These are the locations you must head to. To complete this in the best order, go to the right green blip of the triangle to find your first Keycard in Sons of the Forest.

Location of the Maintenance Keycard in Sons of the Forest

The location of the Maintenance Keycard in Sons of the forest will be the closest one to the helicopter crash site where you start the game, so we will begin with this one. You will need to have the shovel to get to the first Keycard. 

• Head over to the location shown on the GPS locator in the photo above. You should see the shovel indicator on the ground.
• Start digging a hole until you find a hatch. Open it and go inside.
• Follow the corridor until you find an open door on your right.
•  Once you're in the room, look for the desk on your left-hand side. The Maintenance Keycard is on the table.
• This Keycard can also get you access to the Katana.

Location of the VIP Keycard in Sons of the Forest

The next Keycard in Sons of the Forest is the VIP Keycard, also located on the green dot on a GPS locator, as pictured above. Go to the marked location you see in the photo above.

• Once you enter the cave, walk until you find a Food and Dining hatch. Open it and go inside.
• Approach the locked door and use the Maintenance Keycard to unlock it. Go into the green room.
• You will encounter some baby mutants here, so be careful. In the second room, similar to the first one, you will find a corpse holding a crossbow, so make sure to grab that as well.
• Once you pass the third garden room, you'll come across a hallway that is submerged in the water. It's not a long swim, so you won't need the rebreather for this part.
• Keep swimming through submerged rooms until you reach a long corridor. At the end of it, there will be a door locked with a Keycard Scanner. Just before the end of the hallway, a door on your left leads you into the Surveillance room. Go there instead.

• Once you are in the Surveillance room, look for the VIP Keycard with four computer monitors on the table.
• Return to the door with the Keycard Scanner and use the VIP Keycard you found to unlock it.
• Proceed to the Food Court. There are a couple of collectibles here. Make sure you grab a Dress Outfit and some food and supplies. Once you are done looting, go through the broken glass to exit the room.
• On the other side of the broken glass window is a submerged passageway leading to an exit from this facility. Swim through until you finally get out.
• If you head northwest of this location to the purple marker on your GPS you can find yourself a Shotgun.

Location of the Guest Keycard in Sons of the Forest

To get the last Keycard, the Guest Keycard in Sons of the Forest, look for the third green blip on the GPS locator shown in the picture above. You are looking for the cave entrance beside an old, rusted golf cart.

• Enter the cave, and go down to a small room. There's a 3D printer in it, with a sleeping bag and some supplies, including the 3D printer resin.
• Once you have what you need, proceed further down the long hallway. You will reach a waiting room with a locked door. Use the Maintenance Keycard to open it.
• Enter the gym area. You will encounter some cave mutants here, so be careful.
• Proceed through the rooms until you find a large atrium area with two hanging staircases. Go to the upper floor and through the pool area. There will be at least one Finger mutant here.
• You can find the Guitar on the table in the lounge area straight ahead, so make sure to take it.
• Proceed straight to the nightclub room. In the last sitting section on the right, there will be a lot of bodies, and a Guest Keycard will be on top of a small round table.

• Immediately right from the nightclub area, a locked door will lead out. You can unlock it using the Guest Keycard. The storage area inside has a lot of supplies and a Shotgun Rail attachment.
• Retrace your steps and return to the Pool room to find the locked doors. Use Guest Keycard to unlock it, and you will encounter more mutants on the other side.
• Once you enter the following room, you can proceed left into a small Cinema room to get the Chainsaw. Otherwise, go into a dimly lit hallway on the right to escape from the cave and back to the surface.
