TeamFight Tactics Patch Notes 11.23

Anybody else stoked for Double Up?

The first patch of Gizmos & Gadgets is here! This is the first bunch of game changes post-launch for Set 6, and the addition of a new game mode: Double Up. So here's what players can expect when 11.23 goes live.

Double Up

This is by far one of the most exciting things in the patch. Have you ever wanted to play TFT with a buddy, but don't want to have to play the game against them? Double Up is a new take on TFT where you and another player work together to bring your team to victory. Games are played in 2v2v2v2 lobbies, with you and your partner having a shared Health pool.

At certain stages of the game, you will be able to send your partner gold, items, and there is even a consumable that allows you to send over copies of champions and all their equipped items. Another one of the unique features of Double Up is that if you're able to win a round before your partner does, your surviving units will join the fight on your partner's board!

Bug Fixes

  • Sharpshooter (Twinshot) Augment no longer works with Sniper attacks
  • Broken Stopwatch Augment (Clockwork) now properly freezes CC immune units (ie: Colossus, Quicksilver)
  • Items created from the Binary Airdrop Augment will now properly trigger their start of combat phase effects (ex: Zephyr, Zeke’s Herald, etc.)
  • Blitzcrank’s allies always properly retarget to his Rocket Grab target if they’re within range
  • The Runic Shield Augment (Arcanist) will no longer grant shields to units on the bench
  • Training Dummies should no longer show up in End of Game/Match History screens
  • Mercenary Orbs have been moved to the right so they should no longer be hidden by the Hextech core
  • Fixed an issue where Yordles could fail to combine and star-up when coming out of the Yordle Portal. This would most commonly happen when getting 2 Yordles in Hyper Roll. There’s still a second, much rarer way this bug can happen that may not be fixed
  • Gold Collector no longer grants gold on PVE rounds
  • Taric no longer fails to heal himself if his primary heal target dies while he’s casting
