Tom Clancy’s XDefiant – Release date, platforms, FPS, and more!

Ubisoft has announced its new free-to-play 6 vs. 6 multiplayer FPS title Tom Clancy's XDefiant. With the prestige of their other shooter games, like Rainbow Siege and The Division, I am excited to see what Ubisoft brings to the table for XDefiant for its characters, weapons, and setting.

What is the release date of XDefiant?

During the Ubisoft Forward 2023, XDefiant was given a tentative release window of Summer 2023. Playtests and betas are ongoing, so this date may get pushed back. However, optimists can expect to dive into the action toward the end of summer.

Is XDefiant an FPS?

Tom Clancy's XDefiant is Ubisoft's take on a multiplayer arena FPS game that will include characters from the Tom Clancy universe and beyond teaming up as gunfighters called Defiants. According to the game reveal, Defiants will have a customizable array of weapons, devices, traits, and abilities. It seems players will be able to change these during matches to adapt to shifting battlefield conditions.

XDefiant will offer classic multiplayer game modes such as Domination and Escort, but more modes are expected to be revealed in the future. PC players can register now for the early gameplay test to help developers make XDefiant the best FPS possible for a full game release.
