Where to find Rufus the Foreman in V Rising

Kill the Foreman!

To find Rufus the Foreman in V Rising, you must go to the Bandit Logging Camp location. The Bandit Logging Camp is located in Farebane Woods in the following location on the map. Enemies tend to stay below level 20 and around level 16 in this area, so we recommend raising your Gear Level to at least Level 20+.

Doing so will also allow you to fight Rufus the Foreman with ease. Once you have the right Gear Level, head to the Blood Altar and start Tracking Rufus. After Tracking Rufus by selecting inside the Blood Altar, you will be able to find him easier when you go to the Bandit Logging Camp Location in V Rising.

Tips for Beating Rufus The Foreman in V Rising

After finding Rufus The Foreman, we recommend using the tips and tricks below to help you with beating him.

  • Dodge like your unlife depends on it: Rufus the Foreman will use a ton of heavy range attacks and AOE traps. Because of this, you will need to focus on Dodging when Rufus queues up a ranged attack. Doing this is easy as Rufus will pause, and a red outline will grow in his crossbow whenever he powers up an attack.
  • Avoid getting trapped: Occasionally, Rufus will throw down an AOE trap that will keep the player in place, allowing Rufus to put a crossbow bolt right through them. To avoid the AOE attack, we recommend saving Veil of Blood to move quickly out of the way.
  • Bring a Friend along: If you ever have trouble beating bosses, the best thing to do is bring a friend along to help you beat them. One or two players will be able to focus damage on Rufus the Foreman and kill them fast in V Rising.

How to raise your Gear Level to level 20+ in V Rising

If you want to raise your Gear Level to at least level 20 or over, you will need to make better weapons, armor, and accessories. That said, the following items will help raise your gear level to at least Gear Level 20 or over.

  • Copper Spear: Requires 16 Copper each and 12 Planks.
  • Full Set of Plated Boneguard Armor: Require 60 Animal Hide each.
  • Blood Rose Ring: Requires 80 Plant Fiber30 Blood Rose, and one Bone Ring. The Bone Ring requires 40 bones to make.
