How to open your Father’s Safe in Winter Ember

Eventually, you will be forced to return home on your quest for vengeance in Winter Ember. Arthur is searching for clues on what happened the night his family was murdered, and the most likely place is his father's office, particularly inside the safe. This may leave you wondering where the safe is and how to open it.

Arthur's Mansion is not a large area, but it is crawling with enemies. They can do some serious damage and attack sporadically, so be careful. You will need to find the combination to the safe and escape with the information you learn. You will need blunt arrows and a fire arrow. Here is how to open your Father's Safe in Winter Ember.

Where is your Father's Safe in Winter Ember?

Your Father's Safe is located on the second floor inside his office. To the right of the desk is a painting. It will reveal a hidden safe behind it if you interact with it. Unfortunately, you will not be able to open it without the combination. We have marked this location with a red star.

Where is your Father's Safe combination

The combination to the safe can be found in the attic on the back of a painting. The code is 205, and we have marked the location with a white star. To get to the attic, you must explore the Mansion to its fullest, meaning you will need to search through each floor, including the basement, the key for this is marked with a yellow star, and attic.

You will need to go through the Mansion and get outside to reach the attic. From there, you can climb up the outside of the Mansion and make your way to the attic. Once inside, you will spot a painting leaning against some crates. Interact with it to tip it over and reveal the combination.

Return to the safe and enter the code to open it. This reveals a note and gives Arthur his next mission. At this point, a group of soldiers will enter the Mansion searching for you. You can either avoid them with stealth or kill them, but you need to escape and leave the Mansion, returning to South Anargal.
