Skyward Atlas – How to get, Ascension, stats, and who can use it in Genshin Impact

A great five-star catalyst for general use.

The Skyward Atlas is a five-star catalyst that boosts the wielder's Attack and Elemental Damage. Being a weapon that prioritizes dealing damage, it's a suitable choice for many of Genshin Impact's catalyst users who take on the role of a main DPS. I find that the Attack substat can be a burden on Artifact rolls, as you'll have to aim for more Crit Rate and Damage. However, I still find the Skyward Atlas useful to throw into DPS units whenever I don't have their best-in-slot alternative.

How to get Skyward Atlas in Genshin Impact

Skyward Atlas is a standard banner weapon, which means that you can pull for it from the permanent Wanderlust Invocation banner, as well as all limited weapon banners. However, this also means that it's impossible to chart an Epitomized Path to target the Skyward Atlas, so I don't recommend intentionally aiming to get this weapon from the gacha.

Genshin Impact Skyward Atlas stats

  • Base Attack: 48 to 674
  • Substat: Attack (7.2 to 33.1 percent)
  • Passive: Wandering Clouds
    • Increases Elemental DMG Bonus by 12/15/18/21/24 percent. Normal Attack hits have a 50 percent chance to earn the favor of the clouds, which actively seek out nearby opponents to attack for 15 seconds, dealing 160/200/240/280/320 percent Attack Damage. Can only occur once every 30 seconds.

Who can use Skyward Atlas in Genshin Impact

The Skyward Atlas is a damage-dealing catalyst, making it suitable for main DPS units that deal Elemental Damage—especially those that can benefit from a high Attack stat. However, the Attack substat also means that you'll need more particular Artifact rolls to make up for the lack of Crit Rate and Damage. Characters who can utilize the Skyward Atlas include:
