Electro is one of the most versatile Elements in Genshin Impact, with the ability to generate powerful Reactions, from Overloaded to Electro-Charged, Hyperbloom, Aggravate, and more. While Electro characters often play the role of off-field sub-DPS units, some can be used as the team's primary source of damage.
Here are some of the best Electro characters in Genshin Impact, ranked by their ability to play the role of a DPS.
Genshin Impact best Electro DPS characters, ranked
The list below only covers each Electro character's ability when built as a DPS unit. Some characters perform better as sub-DPS units or supports—they would naturally rank higher in these categories. With that said, most of Genshin Impact's Electro characters are better played as sub-DPS units or supports, so not many will make it to the S Tier.
Tier | Characters |
---|---|
S | Cyno, Keqing, Raiden Shogun |
A | Yae Miko, Fischl, Razor |
B | Beidou, Electro Traveler, Lisa, Kuki Shinobu |
C | Kujou Sara, Dori |

Best Electro DPS characters in Genshin Impact
S Tier
- Cyno - Cyno is a Burst DPS who is reliant on his Elemental Burst uptime to do most DMG. As a result, he needs to be paired with DMG-boosting supports, a reliable off-field DPS unit, and Dendor and Hydro applicators to allow him to shine in Hyperbloom and Aggravate teams.
- Keqing - Keqing received an indirect DPS buff with the advent of Dendro, which has empowered her in Aggravate teams. Her low ICD allows her to trigger Reactions quickly and consistently, as long as she's paired with a reliable Dendro applicator, such as Nahida.
- Raiden Shogun - While Raiden Shogun is best used as an off-field sub-DPS, she can quickly transform into a main DPS by increasing her on-field time through more Burst rotations. This requires an extremely high Energy Recharge stat, as well as a good sub-DPS that can be swapped in whenever her Burst is down.
A Tier
- Yae Miko - Typically, Yae Miko is best built as an off-field sub-DPS unit, thanks to her ability to summon totems that deal DMG over time. However, she can be transformed into a main DPS by focusing on increasing her ATK and CRIT stats and decreasing her Burst cooldown. She's best used in Overloaded, Hyperbloom, and Aggravate teams.
- Fischl - The Prinzessin der Verurteilung is one of Genshin Impact's first viable Electro DPS units. While her Electro application is better used in a sub-DPS setting, she will fare better when built as a Physical main DPS. She demands on-field time and is reliant on Normal Attack DMG.
- Razor - Much like Fischl, Razor plays the role of a Physical DPS. He's best used in Superconduct and Vaporize teams, with a heavy reliance on Elemental supports to help elevate his on-field performance.

B Tier
- Beidou - Beidou is typically built as a sub-DPS unit, but she can be built as a main DPS by taking advantage of her parry mechanic. You need to pair Beidou with supports like Kujou Sara, Bennett, and supporting Artifacts from teammates, to help increase her parry's DMG output. However, her performance as a main DPS is gimmicky and reliant on rotations, so she can feel quite clunky and unreliable compared to others.
- Electro Traveler - Electro Traveler is best used as a sub-DPS but can transform into a main DPS with a lot of investment. Pair them with strong Dendro applicators, such as Nahida, ATK buffers, and a lot of investment in weapons and Artifacts to build a decent Aggravate DPS unit.
- Lisa - Most of Lisa's DMG output comes from her Elemental Burst, which deals off-field DMG over time. The issue with using her as a main DPS is her ATK speed, which is extremely slow and can feel clunky, likewise reducing her number of hits per second. You can still build a viable main DPS Lisa with a lot of investment and strong supports.
- Kuki Shinobu - Kuki Shinobu is a fantastic sub-DPS/support for Hyperbloom and Aggravate teams thanks to her off-field Elemental Burst. However, she can also be used as a Physical DPS, but you may find her DMG output to be less than that of a typical DPS.
C Tier
- Kujou Sara - Sara is best used as a sub-DPS or ATK buffer, and has little to no potential as a main DPS due to her low overall DMG output.
- Dori - Dori is best used as a sub-DPS or healer. She can be used as a Physical main DPS, but her DMG output wouldn't be desirable compared to others.
