How to unlock the “Boatman’s” Hidden Objective in Genshin Impact

The "Boatman" is a figure that has been hinted at multiple times throughout Tsurumi Island's story. He maneuvers the boat that will ferry people away from the Sea of Fog, into the golden land of dreams. In reality, the "Boatman" is a spirit that sends lost souls to the afterlife.

Completing The Sun-Wheel and Mt. Kanna will prompt the "Boatman" to appear at the foot of Shirikoro Peak. His exact location is marked up in the image below.

The "Boatman" is the last leg of the illusion Hidden Exploration Objective, so his part won't activate until you've completed all the other related Objectives:

• Help Ipe find his lost charm.
• Help Chise light up Stormstones.
• Help Rero's wife's spirt move on from this world.
• Help Kito and Kina find Sakura Blooms for their grandma.
• Help Una come to terms with departing from this world.
• Help Nonno have fun by playing hide and seek.
• Help Shitoki find treasure.
• Help Abe experience rare mushrooms.

Click the links above to be redirected to the corresponding guides on where to find the Hidden Exploration Objectives required to unlock the "Boatman's" story. They can be done in any order except for Kito and Kina's and Una's, as you must help Kito and Kina first.

After completing all eight, speak with the "Boatman" to trigger a cutscene where all of the island's illusions disappear to the afterworld. It will grant you a Precious Chest and unlock the Achievement Lovely Sights, Further Than the Eye Can See.
