How to change the difficulty setting in Bravely Default 2

To change difficulty in Bravely Default 2, you will need to reach the point in the game where the menu and its options become unlocked.

This point is where you wake up in an Inn and later receive a map from the Innkeeper. After this, the menu will become unlocked, and you can then press X to bring it up.

Once at the menu, use the d-pad to move all way down the menu options list and click the one that says options. When you have done so, another menu will open up, and you will need to click the menu tab that says settings.
