Hogwarts Legacy – Phoenix Rising Walkthrough

In Hogwarts Legacy, you meet several magical creatures and beasts while exploring the world, including the majestic Phoenix. You will come across this magical bird during the Phoenix Rising quest given by Deek. Naturally, you need to know where to go to start the Phoenix Rising quest, and how to complete it quickly. How to complete the Phoenix Rising quest in Hogwarts Legacy

Deek presents the Phoenix Rising quest in the Room of Requirement, and the required level for this quest is 20. We got this quest after winter started at Hogwarts, so you will need to progress in the main storyline considerably to get this quest. Check your Owl Post for Professor Weasley's letters, and visit the Room of Requirement when you get it. Interact with Deek to learn about the magical bird, nesting somewhere south in the Poisear Coast Region.

Where is the Phoenix Mountain Cave in Hogwarts Legacy

The Phoenix Mountain Cave is located in the southern area of the map in the Poidsear Coast region. Check the yellow circle on the map image above to see the exact location of Phoenix Mountain Cave, and you can use the broom or mount to fly to this region. The Cave is filled with Poachers, and you'll have to eliminate them to get to reach the peak of the mountain.

After entering the cave, you need to follow the path on the right-hand side and navigate forward. You will need to climb up to get to the interior of the cave, but before that check the hole on the right, and you'll find a path blocked by spider webs and stones. Use Confringo or Incendio to clear through the webs, and Depulso to break through the stone barrier.

Get inside and you'll find another set of spider webs along with a Venomous Ambusher. Eliminate the spider and burn the webs with the fire spells mentioned above. Here you'll find a Collections Chest behind the Venomous Ambusher spider.

Return to the entrance of this area, and continue inside the cave. This is where you will come across the first set of Poachers inside the cave. Use any of the spell combinations you want to defeat the Poachers and go ahead to the next area of the cave. Keep in mind that there is a hidden chest here that you can collect by entering a blocked pathway. We have highlighted how you can get this chest below.

On the way to the next room to fight the second set of Poachers, you'll find a couple of treasure bags. Collect them quickly and proceed to the next room in the cave. At the entrance of this room, you'll find a stone platform on the right-hand side, you can jump on this platform to isolate the enemies easily. Check the arrow on the image above to see where this platform is located.

There will be Poacher Animagus in this room, along with a few other enemies. There are also red barrels placed around this room which you can use to blast the enemies. For the Poacher Animagus, we recommend turning it into human form with the Transformation spell if the Duelling Feats appear in your challenges.

After fighting the second set of Poachers, you'll come across a locked door. Unlock it and enter through the door to spot the Phoenix inside the cave. There is a treasure bag on the left-hand side of the room, collect it quickly, and then take the ladder on the right-hand side of the room to go to the next area.

Climb the ladders and you will come across a door with a level three lock, and inside there is another chest. You need to upgrade the Alohomora spell to unlock this door. You can return to this area after learning the spell to unlock this level three lock later on.

How to reach the peak of the mountain in Phoenix Rising in Hogwarts Legacy

After finding the level three lock door, you need to take a right to find the broken metal bridge. After crossing this bridge, you'll come across a broken wooden bridge. There is water under the bridge, and a ladder to access the bottom area. Climb down the ladder and collect all of the items you find below, and return to the broken wooden bridge.

Cross the wooden bridge and cast Revelio to spot another passage blocked by spider webs. You'll find water in front of this passage and must reach it through an alternate route. Start by using Confringo to burn through the spider webs. Check the yellow arrow on the image above to see the location of the chest.

Take the path on the left-hand side of this room, and reach the spot right above the chest. From here, you can jump down below to collect the chest. Swim across the small water body and return to the initial area to progress toward the peak of the mountain.

The next room has a ladder that leads to the peak of the mountain, and another small entrance blocked by spider webs. Burn the spider webs using Confringo or Incendio, and enter through the tunnel to collect Horklump Juice. Return to the entrance and climb up the ladder.

After crossing this room, you'll come across the third set of Poachers in the Phoenix Mountain Cave. Defeat the Poachers quickly, and you will find two blocked entrances in this room. One of the entrances is blocked by spider webs, while the other is blocked by boulders. Check the instructions below to see how to enter these blocked spaces and collect the loot.

Once you have gathered all the materials from this room, push ahead to the peak of the mountain where you'll find the Phoenix.

Here you'll have to use the Nab-Sack to rescue the Phoenix and bring it back to the Vivarium in the Room of Requirement. If you have not collected any of the chests or treasure bags, you can return to this mountain after completing the quest.

How to get the hidden chests in Phoenix Rising in Hogwarts Legacy

During the Phoenix Rising quest, you'll find several chests inside the cave. Some of these chests are located in tricky spots, so you must navigate around the areas by using different spells to get them. While exploring the cave, you will find a few bags placed in areas that are out of reach. To get these bags, you can use Accio to bring them closer to your character. Here are some of the hidden chests you'll find in the Phoenix Mountain Cave.

Before entering the first room with Poacher enemies, you'll notice a chest on the left-hand side of the passageway. The path to the chest is blocked, and you need to find an alternative route. Defeat the Poachers and head down to the central part of this room.

Look below the wooden bridge and you'll find a hole blocked by spider webs. Use Confringo or Incendio and get inside from the small entrance.

There are a few spider eggs inside that you can destroy easily by using Confringo. Collect the chest and return to the entrance to proceed to the next room.

Next up, in the room with the third set of Poachers, you'll find two blocked spaces, one blocked by boulders, and the other by spider webs.

Use Depulso on the stones blocking the path to collect the treasure bag from inside.
