How to complete Survival of the Fittest Challenge – Phasmophobia
To complete the Survival of the Fittest Phasmophobia challenge, you must correctly identify the ghost in 42 Edgefield Road. When you do that, you will have completed the challenge and get $5,000 as a reward. If you cannot complete it, you will have to replay the challenge and keep trying, as it's one of the most difficult weekly challenges, meaning it will take some time to complete.
What is the Survival of the Fittest – Phasmophobia Challenge of the Week?
The Survival of the Fittest is a challenge where you won't have any sanity or pills, and the ghost will not give any evidence to help you identify it. This means that most of the equipment will be useless as you cannot collect evidence to determine the ghost. Instead, you must rely on the ghost behaviors to shortlist which one it is.
Tips & Tricks for Survival of the Fittest – Phasmophobia Weekly Challenge
Since we are going to identify the ghost based on its behaviors, the table here will help.
Ghosts | Behaviors to identify them |
Banshee | Hunts based on individual sanity, which is 50%, and ignores average sanity. It has a special scream on the parabolic microphone. |

Goryo | Visible only on DOTS via cameras, doesn't roam far, and can't change rooms. |
Hantu | Faster in the cold, slower in warmth, has visible breath in the cold during hunts, cannot turn the power on, and is likely to turn the power off twice. |
Jinn | Can't turn off power, has increased speed when far from players, and has normal speed without power. |
Mare | Can't turn lights on, might turn off lights immediately, and has varied hunt thresholds by light condition. |

Shade | Less interactive with multiple people and has a lower hunt threshold. |
Spirit | Extended smudge stick effect duration. |
The Twins | Interacts at two places at once. Each twin has a varied hunt speed. |
Wraith | It leaves no footprints in salt, and it can teleport to players. |
Yokai | Triggered by talking near it, but has limited hearing range during hunts. |
Raiju | Speed increases near electrical equipment during hunts. |
Obake | Can leave six-finger handprints and may shapeshift during hunts. |
