Hazama responded that there were a lot of difficulties in bringing the games to Switch, with hardware storage capacity being the only thing stated as one of those difficulties.

Hazama later said that he and others in charge of the games believe the Cloud is the best way to bring the series to the Switch. But Hazama also said the production of a native version for the Kingdom Hearts games on Switch is “undecided.” Hazama further elaborated that the Kingdom Hearts team is always looking at players’ feedback, further suggesting that the games can receive native ports if the fan demand remains high.

When Sora from Kingdom Hearts was revealed to be the final DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Cloud ports for all the Kingdom Hearts collections and Kingdom Hearts III were also announced for the Nintendo Switch. However, players will only be able to play the games with a strong internet connection, and those who are on the go may experience some issues.
