If you want to earn more money to purchase better equipment, then the best way to do that is by completing Phasmo's weekly challenges. If you are struggling, then check out how to complete the Phasmophobia Gotta Go Fast! challenge guide below.
How to complete the Phasmophobia Gotta Go Fast! Challenge
Weekly challenges are a fun change to your regular ghosthunting routine as well as a good way to earn EXP and money. However, some challenges can be pretty difficult and require you to prepare in advance. Here's how to complete the Phasmophobia Gotta Go Fast! Challenge.

Your goal is to identify a ghost in the Prison three times correctly. This is a medium-sized map in Phasmo, and it can get very confusing. Especially since you will be getting hunted pretty often, and panic can lead to getting lost and running into dead ends (totally not talking from experience; I am always calm when being chased).
Some set rules apply to this challenge:
- Only Tier One equipment
- No Crucifix or Incense
- No sanity, which means the ghosts will be hunting you more often
- The sanity screen is broken, but the activity screen still works
- Ghosts are fast, but so are you
Phasmophobia Gotta Go Fast! Challenge Tips and Tricks
As you will be actively hunted a lot, it can be tough to focus on completing the challenge. Here are some Phasmophobia Gotta Go Fast! Challenge tips and tricks to keep in mind.
While you can get evidence from these searches, unlike in the No Evidence challenge, you might not have the time to get it while you are running around. You should still bring equipment for evidence collecting but also look out for Ghost patterns and behaviors that will identify them.
- Check the camera for Ghost Orbs, as this will significantly reduce your pool of options.
- I suggest bringing in an EMF and a Thermometer first to check for activity and freezing temperatures.
- Don't hide, and keep running to avoid getting killed.
- Go in a team instead of solo.
Once you have done this, there are specific Ghost behaviors you should watch out for, which you can find in the list below.

Ghost | Behavior |
---|---|
Spirit | You don't have Incense to identify it, so you will have to depend on evidence |
Wraith | It floats so it won't leave Footsteps. It also avoids salt piles, which you can strategically place in hallways to test. |
Phantom | Since your sanity is at zero already, you can't use that to confirm it. Instead, bring in a camera to take a photo. If the ghost disappears, it is the Phantom. |
Poltergeist | If a ghost is throwing items, then there is a high chance it is the Poltergeist. Especially if it throws multiple at once. |
Banshee | You can potentially identify a Banshee by the singing Ghost event. The scream of a Banshee can also sometimes be heard on the Parabolic microphone, though pretty rarely. This ghost will also focus on a single target, ignoring all others. |
Jinn | You can't check for Sanity, but you can check for an EMF reading of either 2 or 5 at the fuse box. This ghost is faster if the victim is far away |
Mare | This ghost is more likely to hunt in the dark, so it will be turning off the lights once you turn them on. If you hear a light shatter, it could be the Mare. |
Revenant | This ghost will be traveling at a faster speed when hunting. If you manage to hide and it slows down, it is most likely the Revenant. |
Shade | If there are multiple people nearby, the ghost won't be interacting or hunting. If the ghost does appear to a single player, and it's in the shadow form, then it is most likely a Shade. |
Demon | Since you can't use a Crucifix and Incense, and your Sanity is at zero, it's quite difficult to identify a demon. You'll have to depend on the evidence you collect. |
| |
Yurei | Incense won't work, and you won't be able to recognize it by the sanity drop. If doors are closed multiple times, it could be a Yurei. Pay attention to that and the evidence you collect. |
Oni | These ghosts are more active when there are people nearby. If an Oni is hunting, it will spend more time visible than not compared to other ghosts, which can be a good indicator. |
Yokai | It becomes more active when people are talking but can't track by sound very well when in a hunt. |
Hantu | You can hear it more often through the Parabolic Microphone, but it gets quiet when in a hunt. |
Goryo | Usually sticks to its death room and can be seen on DOTS only through a video camera. |
Myling | You can hear it more often through the Parabolic Microphone, but it becomes quieter when in a hunt. |
Onryo | If a candle is lit, it will not attack. Extinguish the flame and be ready to run if the ghost is aggressive, as it's most likely an Onryo. |
The Twins | Easily identifiable as both ghosts tend to interact with the environment at the same time. |
Raiju | if there are active electrical devices nearby, this ghost will move faster. It will also disrupt electronic devices, making it easier to track. |
Obake | This ghost will rarely interact with the environment. If it does leave fingerprints, they will look unique (six fingers instead of five) |
The Mimic | Since it can copy all other ghosts, it's difficult to identify. However, if you have confirmed all three of its evidence requirements and you see ghost orbs, then this is a Mimic. |
Moroi | The Moroi affects the Sanity drain and becomes faster the lower your Sanity is. Track the ghost's speed to see if it's reducing as well as look out for evidence to confirm the ghost. |
Deogen | There is no hiding from the Deogen, but once its trying to kill you, it will become very slow. |
Thaye | This ghost is the fastest at the start of a contract and loses speed as time passes and people spend more time nearby. The speed won't increase after it goes down. |
