How to find the Chainsaw in Sons of the Forest

In Sons of the Forest, you get to explore the map and collect various materials and resources to craft weapons and build structures. The Chainsaw is one of the items you'll find in the game, and it can be used to cut down trees faster. Here's how to find the Chainsaw in Sons of the Forest. 

Where to find the Chainsaw in Sons of the Forest

The Chainsaw is located in a facility at the central green blip on the western side of the map. This is the same location where you will find the Guest Keycard, and you’ll need to use this card to access the area with the Chainsaw. You can see the yellow circle and arrow on the GPS in the map image above to see the exact location of the entrance to this facility. Remember, you need to have the Maintenance Keycard to go to the interiors of the facility.

After acquiring the Guest Keycard, stand in the swimming pool room, and look at the door on the right-hand side. Use the Guest Keycard to open the room, and walk through the corridor. From here, you need to navigate toward the movie theater room. The Chainsaw is kept on a corpse sitting in front of the movie room. After collecting this item, head back in front of the corridor where you came in from, and take the door on the right-hand side of the room to quickly exit the cave.

While it is not the best melee weapon to have in the game, the Chainsaw is exceptional when it comes to chopping down trees for wood. You can cut through massive trees within a matter of seconds, and this allows you to build structures faster. Keep in mind that inside the facility cave, there are other rooms that can be opened with different key cards. For instance, if you have the VIP Keycard, you can unlock another door in this facility that has hidden ammunition.
