What does the Forbidden Flounder do in WoW Dragonflight?

The Forbidden Flounder is a rare fish that, when eaten, will cause you to take massive damage over 20 seconds, all but guaranteeing your death. Depending on your class, you will be able to survive by using mitigation, but you'll want to have a healer or two handy for this one.

Surviving the 20 seconds will reward you with the Me Want Bite achievement, awarded to players who consume the Forbidden Flounder and live to tell the tale. If you're an achievement hunter, this is an interesting one to complete, but the flounder is rare.

How to get the Forbidden Flounder in WoW Dragonflight

For players looking to take on this dangerous challenge, the Forbidden Flounder drops from Magmorax, a raid boss from Aberrus, Dragonflight's second raid introduced in the 10.1 update. It appears that this flounder can drop from any difficulty, but remember, you're only allowed to loot the boss once a week per difficulty. This does give you a total of four chances each week to get the fish.

Magmorax is pretty deep into the raid, so you must clear about half the raid each week to get the loot chance. An alternative would be queuing up in Looking For Raid once it's available or finding a group currently on Magmorax to join in the Group Finder.
