How to play each class in For Honor’s Knight faction

Among all the factions in For Honor, the Knights have the largest roster. This gives fans of the armored warriors plenty of options when it comes to finding what matches their playstyle. Much like an 80s montage, let's go through the options and find your best fit.

For Honor Knight Faction

Warden

The Warden is the face of the Knights. Utilizing a two-handed greatsword, it's a great class for those just starting out in For Honor. Utilizing a mixture of light attacks, heavy attacks, and a punishing shoulder charge, the Warden can be aggressive or reactionary. It's a middle-of-the-road class that is fairly straightforward.

Lawbringer

The Lawbringer makes use of a polearm to keep opponents at bay. It is also a master of stunning and counterattacks. Best played defensively, the Lawbringer coaxes enemies into making a mistake and then brutally punishing it. Their shove can also set up several heavy chain attacks which shred through health.

Warmonger

The Warmonger is like an evolved version of the Warden. Its kit is similar but definitely favors an aggressive playstyle. It has several perks which inflict a poisoned, damage over time, effect on foes. While she also wields a two-handed greatsword, it is used in a mixture with the clawed gauntlet instead of exclusively as is the case with the Warden.

Gryphon

The Gryphon is a hybrid character focused on chaining attacks together. Much like the Lawbringer, it is a great class for counterattacking. In fact, proper utilization of the class is derived from using parries and guard breaks to interrupt an opponent and turn the tides of a fight.

Peacekeeper

The Peacekeeper's name is a little unconventional when considering the heart of this assassin class. Performing a flurry of light attacks that inflict a bleed status, the Peacekeeper is a lithe and deadly class. Though this is dependent on avoiding attacks and staying out of harm's way. The Peacekeeper has a hard time standing up to a direct assault and must nimbly avoid attacks. More advanced players will opt to parry and deflect attacks to create riposte opportunities.

Conquerer

The Conquerer arguably has the best defense in the Knight faction thanks to its shield. Its kit is based largely around mitigating attacks with the shield and countering with powerful mace attacks. By utilizing zone attacks, the Conquerer can keep opponents right in its sweet spot of medium-range to keep the pressure up.

Gladiator

Fast, aggressive, and with a ton of mixups, this assassin plays nothing like its Peacekeeper counterpart. The Gladiator is a class all about keeping pressure on the opponent. Thanks to its natural stamina preservation, it is able to stay on top of rivals much longer than others. It's a game of attrition and sheer brutality with this Roman hero.

Centurion

The Centurion, much like its brother the Gladiator, is another monster on the battlefield. It is a melee specialist with a wide variety of mix-ups. With pounces, jumps, cancels, and knockbacks, the Centurion isn't the easiest class to play, but once mastered, is one of the more difficult ones to go against.

Black Prior

Darkness. The Black Prior is another excellent all-rounder like the Warden. With a penchant for chain attacks and literally flipping opponents with its shield, the Centurion is a great defensive combatant with the option for more aggressive play. Its Bulwark stance opens up a whole new realm of attacks with the added benefit of a regular block in all directions.
