Best Minecraft Adventure Maps

Take yourself on a new adventure with these eight Minecraft adventure maps. The maps with trailers have them provided, while those without have screenshots from the game.

Delta 2160

Delta 2160: Download Page

Version: 1.20.1

The LGSC Team's Delta 2160 is a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk world where you must survive in any way possible based upon the role you choose. You can become a scavenger, doing grunt work for others, a solo mercenary, or a spy for one of the city's mega corporation. The texture pack had a charming steampunk vibe to me, and I found the game to be really easy to hop into. What was especially helpful were the electronic compasses given to players to guide them to quests and their home. They helped me stay on path during the story when I definitely would have gotten lost otherwise.

Elden Lands: Conquest Edition

Eldan Lands Conquest Edition: Download Page

Version: 1.19.2

Fans of games like Elden Ring and Dark Souls will enjoy this Minecraft version. The resource packs used make the game look more realistic, adding to Eldan Land's Soulslike aesthetic. Like Delta 2160, this map was created by the LGSC Team. It uses the same method of communicating with NPC villagers, lighting up areas, and quest guides as Delta 2160. I found it to be pretty immersive with the entry levels feeling like something out of Skyrim. I did find the quests a little more difficult to find and complete than in Delta, but I think that makes sense considering the difficulty of similar games.

Temple of the Art

Temple of the Art: Download Page

Version: 1.19.2

Temple of the Art is essentially a Minecraft dungeon crawler created by PeteAleha. You play as a mage going through 20 waves of various enemies, using the spells and wand at your disposal to take them all out. There are hundreds of spells to choose from randomly, plus a wide variety of custom mobs to fight. Like any roguelike game, upon death you return to the game's home area before starting from the beginning. To make the game even more interesting, there are NPCs that can be rescued throughout the run and secrets that can be uncovered. It is definitely my favorite of the adventure maps on this list.

AcidIslands

A special island survival game mode in Minecraft.

AcidIslands: Download Page

Version: 1.20+

AcidIslands by Szchy, poprostuKrzychu, and kolikono combines island survival with an expanding border that increases in size as challenges are completed. You're not completely left in the dark, as a set of armor, a sword, two fishing poles, and a brush are provided in the barrel at the front of the island. There are also multiple villagers on the island trading both easily obtainable items for emeralds and emeralds for harder-to-find goodies. You'll get hours of entertainment from exploring all of the islands available and completing the many challenges of this world.

Nasi Goreng

Nasi Goreng: Download Page

Version: 1.20.4, 1.20.1, 1.19.4, 1.19.2, 1.18.2

ItsZacky's Nasi Goreng simulator has players running a fried rice restaurant right in Minecraft. Players must juggle paying employee wages, cooking the fried rice, buying ingredients and furniture, and generally keeping the restaurant going while taking care of their health. Start by setting up the first table and chair in your restaurant and cooking up your first plates of fried rice. Explore the streets of the town from your apartment to Ikae and build an epic fried rice empire!

The Dark Mushroom Forest

Version: 1.20.4, 1.19.4

With the Trial Chambers being a work-in-progress for one of the next updates, you'll want to try out this map to get some experience defeating waves of enemies! The Dark Mushroom Forest was created by Rustycreeper to be a battle between waves of enemies followed by a boss fight against the Mushroom Lord. It's available to play with up to four players and has customized items and mushroom-themed mobs to add a unique twist to the game. It's a shorter map—Rustycreeper estimated it at 30 minutes of playtime—but one that can be replayed over and over again.

Backrooms Scheme

Backrooms Scheme: Download Page

Version: 1.20.1

With the increasing popularity of the Backrooms games, it's no wonder that it's been brought into Minecraft! Created by WigonLuiz and ExtremeGames_557, this single-player map provides players with the frights of Backgames despite the fact that it's not truly a horror map. The areas appear straight out of a Backrooms game, from the large tunnel to the yellow-walled first level and the hand-drawn arrows on its walls. This map promises a delightfully spooky time for fans of things like the Backrooms and SCP Containment Breach!

Undertale in Minecraft (UTMC)

Undertale in Minecraft: Download Page

Version: 1.20.1

Undertale fans can bring their love into Minecraft with the stunning visuals of Luigi's Undertale in Minecraft. While this game is only completely available for those who own the Undertale game, its demo is still fun to play for those who don't. During my playthrough of the demo, the characters and environment felt so much closer to life than I expected. From those characters to the cutscenes and the battle sequence, the map demonstrated the same elegant beauty and appeal of Undertale itself.
