Best Minecraft 1.20 Desert Seeds (Bedrock and Java)

Whether you play Bedrock or Java, you can visit any of these gorgeous Minecraft Deserts. The structures may differ depending on your version, but coordinates are provided for both to jumpstart your gameplay.

Mushroom Island in Desert Coral Sea

This seed begins on the left side of a large Desert split in half by the sea. What makes this seed particularly special is the large Mushroom Island in the center of the sea between the two halves of the Desert. The majority of the water is filled with coral and tropical fish, filling the world with bright colors and abundant food resources. Bedrock players will start next to a ruined portal, but all players will have plenty of shipwrecks, villages, and Warm Ocean Ruins to explore.

Armadillo Mines

These mines cut straight through a Badlands biome that serves as the home to several Armadillos. The mines have long since been abandoned, but the Armadillos still roam peacefully. This seed also has a Jungle to the right of the mines and a Lush Cave on the left side. Explore the cave, gather treasure from the mines, and befriend lots of Armadillos.

Jungle Sands

This seed adds a fun spin to a Desert biome by combining it with several other biomes. Players start in a Jungle between a sandy Beach and a Desert. The Desert also contains a small patch of Plains biome, which blends in well with the Desert Village in the Bedrock edition. It's small as far as Deserts go, but that adds to its charm.

Sweeping Desert Hills

This set of Windswept Hills is only a short walk from Spawn, giving players access to a great view and lots of resources. The daylight can easily reach the outer areas of the caves, but you will need torches to light up the inside.

Multi-Village Desert

Bedrock players will find a ruined portal and two Desert Villages a short walk from Spawn. Java players will have to travel a bit further for the villages, but their portal will be closer to Spawn. A nearby Wooded Badlands biome ensures that you'll never need to worry about getting wood. Additionally, the ocean contains multiple structures including ruins and shipwrecks.

Eroded Badlands Mountain

The Eroded Badlands are one of the prettiest biomes to settle down in. If you find some Dark Oak wood to build with, you can create a great base that contrasts with the warm reds and oranges of the mountain. Bad Desert Lands

Beyond the Jungle

Badlands Hill
